All overtime at work binned.
All temporary staff will be binned soon too.

The fall out from this over the next few months will be massive.
I can see redundancies all over the gaff, including myself I would imagine.

And as i posted really early in this thread, Sunday trading laws will be relaxed, I'm convinced.
Emails off Union today asking for members to message our MP's.. the unions are utter gash.

It’s up by Buttermere, in the middle of nowhere, stunning location, surrounded by the fells.
No I've never been up that way mate.

I had my money on it being one of either the Drunken Duck or the Punch Bowl Inn, both also in the middle of nowhere, but not quite as far to travel.

Supermarket?

I was at the Drunken Duck last year - full on gastro, nice but very expensive.

The beer they brew around the back is something else.
Been there for a meal a couple of times but wouldn't pay the inflated prices to stay there. The food was good but I found them a bit up their own arse tbh. First time we went we were with my mum in law. She's sadly gone now but she's was real old school Dingle girl. They had tarte tatin on the menu and we told her it was like apple pie. So when she asked the maitre d for apple pie I thought he was going to faint. At the end when they brought the bill and asked us if we enjoyed the food, the in law says It was very nice but the chef needs to learn how to make apple pie. We could have died. On the way back to our hotel she said she'd like to pay for the meal and proceeded to stick 3 x £20 notes in my arse pocket. lol Even back then, about 12 years ago, the bill was over £200 for the 3 of us.

The Punch bowl is more of a fine dining place. My missus paid to stay there for a night for my birthday a few years back. Food is a bit too rich for me. Similar to L'Enclume in Cartmel if you've ever been there. Not my cup of tea really, especially at these prices.

Anyway, All this talk is getting me excited about going to a pub again. As you know, it's foodie heaven down here.

Lol.

Three of us went and despite having 3 courses left the place hungry and ended up getting takeaway pizzas when we got back to the digs in Coniston lol
