I agree. But you just know what would happen.
We’re already besieged here with non locals who just don’t seem to/ want to ... understand and adhere to restrictions in wales. Tourism is a massive industry here and without it our local economy would crash, but at the moment shops are shut except the ones deemed essential, camp sites are shut, caravan sites are shut, hotels are shut, pubs and resteraunts are shut, local beauty spots are shut... nothing is open yet selfish people still find some reason to want to come here .... I just don’t understand their mentality

Me neither. If you stay at home, you wont catch it. If you go out, you might. If you minimise your time out, dont talk, and social distance, the risk is minimal.

But no. I want to go to the beach.

The best thing that can happen is a change in the weather mate.

My mate has a lodge near Red Wharf's Bay and he's drove there today even though there'll be very little open, including the site, for a day out.

I hope Benllech beach has been quiet.

Its changing on Wednesday onwards by the weekend it should be 10c cooler .....from 26 c to 16 c That's a hell of a drop - that may stop tourism ......& keep the R number steady?
read about the car caught just on the border of wales and the driver asked the policeman if their were any nice places nearby to go to
He was turned around to head back to England & told if spotted again a £1000 fine.....

I was at benllech beach yesterday evening, there were probably 5 or 6 families on the beach, really quiet. Not sure where your mate lives but the instructions given out by welsh government this week was restrictions on travel still unless for work purposes etc, it was suggested a maximum of 5 miles from your home, this is what people seem to be ignoring

I always believed it was that alot of them live at high altitude and then any of them who are good at running would have an advantage when competing at lower altitudes. Their body is used to getting less oxygen from the higher altitude.

Why are East African runners such good long distance runners?

Is it genetics?
There’s evidence that shows the genetic makeup of a number of Champions has given them an advantage, as demonstrated by foreign runners going to train in these areas and showing nowhere near the same adaptation. See also the Trelawny effect in Jamaican sprinters.

Some people handle being locked away better than others.

Its been almost 3 months.

Stay inside? Thats my idea of heaven, but to my missus, its her idea of hell.

Coming later in the week. Still ok, but not sunny, and cooler as well.

edit. Change in the weather, UK, that is.

That's the second time you've made me laugh today. The first was when I thought I was back in the 1970s with this

Having Bristols on line, somehow. Its been a big deal here for ages, and rightly so. :)

My sister and her husband drove from Cheltenham to Portishead to see our parents today. Now, they would have been in the garden, and would have socially distanced.

But. Her 2 kids had it, she reckons she had it, and her husband is a BA Captain recently returned from god only knows. So heaven knows, even though he is tested more than a lab rat.

My Dad was not surprised I chose to stay at home.

Oh. My Nephew caught it after 3 days at the Cheltenham races, most likely anyrate.

He's from Liverpool. I did warn him that he was taking a risk with the North Wales Nazis, sorry Police, probably out looking for plates coming from Liverpool etc.

Can you share it?

I'd be interested to see as I don't think I've ever seen anything stating that which goes beyond folklore or assumption.
