Durdle Door really seems to be attracting some idiots the past couple of weeks.

Officers are appealing to the public to stay away from Durdle Door in Purbeck as emergency services are in attendance to deal with a number of casualties. Dorset Police was called at 3.43pm on Saturday 30 May 2020 to a report of concern for the safety of people who were jumping off the cliff into the sea.
Officers are at the scene to assist the ambulance service, HM Coastguard and the RNLI with clearing the area.
Three people have sustained serious injuries and are being treated by the ambulance service. Chief Inspector Claire Phillips, of Dorset Police, said: “We have had to close the beach at Durdle Door to allow air ambulances to land. As a result, we are evacuating the beach and the surrounding cliff area. “I am urging people to leave the area to enable emergency services to treat the injured people.”

Aye. People will do what people will do. I'm past worrying really, but it's interesting to note the change. At the start you'd get people running or cycling in parks, and that was it. Then gradually more people would sit about, have the odd sneaky picnic. Now there's scarcely a patch of grass left unused. The social distancing isn't an issue as naturally people won't position themselves that close to strangers anyway, but it was noticeable that every single bit of grass we encountered today was jam packed. Even one just down the road from Guy's.

It's an interesting time, as this morning we were screamed at by a lady who thought we were too close as we went to pick up an avocado in Tesco. Seems some are still shitting it and tense, and many others are seemingly not bothered at all.

I saw what you did there....

7 day rolling averages

All deaths - 243
Hospital deaths - 165.57

They are the figures to keep watching over the next few weeks/days
That's the BS official figure....and even that is horrendous and way above what's happening in France, Spain and Italy.

ONS figures are the only one's that count.

FFS, wake up will you. This lot will kill the 'kin lot of us.

Yeah, so your little bike ride wasn’t essential then.

But do continue shaming everyone else for leaving the house

As much as I hate this government id listen to them over some maniac on the internet
Yeah, it sounds like you hate them.

Stop making apologies for them.

The ONS count deaths that don’t involve Covid as well, but haven’t processed anything registered up to last Saturday judging by their website just now

The rolling average is updated daily based on the figures given that day

Even on your own official figures 243 daily average - is that a situation where you say ease down the lockdown is it?

Unbelievable if so. Take a look around Europe and the basis for their relaxation.

It's unsupportable, and everyone (including you) knows it.

It’s not a daily average, it’s a weekly average figure, counting the 7 days previous to the figure announced, so for example tomorrow’s figure will be the rolling average going to last Sunday and so on

I don’t agree with the lockdown ending personally, I was expecting it too because Captain Dumbass knew he couldn’t sustain it, a smarter leader would have let the averages drop a lot deeper or locked down earlier but the media pressure after what his puppet master did has forced his hand because he has no bottle for the job

As I said earlier in the thread to Bruce, I am desperate to go back to work as I’m starting to really feel the boredom now going into what will be an 11th week off work, but I could have forced myself to get through another 4-5 weeks if it meant things would be 100% secure

Fair enough mate. I got the wrong end of the stick.
