Would you like me to explain the difference here?

He broke lock down rules and put peoples lives at risk for a birthday party.

It's called double standards. The hypocisy coming from people calling the government murderers while refusing to condemn their own parties MP's breaking lockdown is disgusting.

So, no. I don't need you to.

You understand the difference in the 2 cases right? You think Cummings should be sacked?

The people who were expected to be most critical of Johnson and the government have not been invited, so I wouldn't expect anything too extreme.Another example of them "controlling the narrative".

....my understanding is that the members of the Liaison Committee are the chairs of the various cross-party Select Committees. They tend to hold the interviewees to account, so I doubt it will be stacked in the PMs favour.

This is an interesting observation in the current climate.

I think what both did was wrong.

Should he be sacked over it. Probably. I think people are making a bigger deal out of it that needs be though, especially traditional Labour supporters who just want an excuse to get rid a guy they hate. It's not like he was going off on a jolly. Also there was the term used in 'exceptional circumstances', in which case you could say not having adequate child care in case they both were ill was an exceptional circumstance.

I understand people thinking they should be setting an example. They should be and he failed in that regard.

I've seen many decent people breaking lockdown rules in one way or another and deciding to use their own 'judgement' rather than fully adhere to the rules. Ironically, many of those are the same people calling for Cummings head, I'd wager, including many on here.

MP for North Durham.

He went to VE party of some sorts in the local community which had the Police at it as guests. Social distancing took place, still not the brightest of ideas in the current situation.

Kinnock sat in the front garden of his parents house, again not a great idea.
Kinnock is an idiot anyway...he wouldn't be missed if he was sacked
