Their actions are being led by the medical personnel. You're letting your hatred for all things Tory cloud your judgement.

Not really, you're letting your opinion of me get ahead of understanding my post and of how governments work, especially with people like Cummings pulling strings.
Perhaps there are two ways of reading medical advice, everyone else seems to be tackling the problem head on, 'we' want to to self infect and let it run its course, basically.
So, no anti tory bias, just an awareness of how lost we seem to be and a lack of genuine leadership. But thanks anyway ;)

I total accept that experts are telling them and obviously I’m clueless in this but my issue is that every other expert appears to be advising their own nations something different . Everybody is going left and we’re going right , it just seems odd Is my position .

Dunno. I'm not planning on attending any mass gatherings. My travel has all been cancelled and I've been working from home for the last month. Bar buying 100 rolls of toilet paper, I'm not sure what else I can personally do, so you'll forgive me if I don't join in the daily diarrhea in here.

Problem is, I’m doing the same as you (bar working from home as that’s not happened yet) and you get accused on here of overreacting to the situation.

lol he's done a bloody awful job of looking after my stocks if that's the case. The general feeling I get is that this is going to drag on for quite a few months, and those countries who are shutting down everything will soon be on their knees financially. I know finance is seen as a dirty word here, but as a vaccine is likely to be another year or so off, can you shut down entire areas for a year? Really?
Markets crashing is largely down to various countries reacting differently, now there seems to be some cohesive approach there will cooling of the bear hunt excluding bannana Republic of Cummings and Johnson, for now. And of course what goes down will come up, so when this passes, Cummings and Johnson will be all over the gains...

my main issues/fascinations with it are the RS not winning the league , refunding of losing bets and mostly I’m due to be away for 2 months in the summer which I’m thinking may not happen now. Otherwise I’m not sure it’s impacted on me at all

Of course. I mean we could do something and absolutely no people would die (ever). The Tories just hate everyone though and this is a sneakier way of doing it than hunting them with foxes.

Now excuse me, I'm going to wash my hands for as long as it takes to sing a few renditions of The Red Flag.
You can be as glib as you like, but the UK is using a very different model to the vast majority of nations. Those nations are also backed by experts so you can't accuse people of ignoring science, they probably just don't have any faith in Johnson

At the moment, the impact has been minimal, but if clients decide to put work on hold, or to not pay, then that's not so good. A number of other freelancers I know have said that work has just vanished. I know thinking about basic survival stuff like putting food on the table is a dirty topic, but it would be good if the economy didn't go completely to [Poor language removed], as I fear the repercussions of that would be far worse than from this virus.

I'm not being glib. I'm following the advice of the experts from around the world in that I'm not travelling, I'm maintaining rigorous hand hygiene and will self-isolate when this thing knocks on our door. If I'm not on here moaning about things or mulling over every rise in the statistics then I do apologise, but as a freelancer with no state safety net underneath me, it's an additional stress I can do without. If that's okay with you like?
