I've stayed out of this thread for the sake of my sanity, but aren't the government following the advice of the chief medical expert(s)? I'm sure I saw an interview or two yesterday where the said person explained what they're doing and why they're doing it. Is he the wrong sort of expert?

Theoretically, yes, but sometimes the medical experts are cult members and/or marginalized and brought out for show.

The US medical expert says that someone exposed to 2 virus positive people should be tested and self isolating, but POTUS knows better

Well I thought we were doing it a bit different than anyone else, care of Boris and his government, I could be wrong.

from reports today seems we were only doing it differently for a couple of days , like a trial separation or sale of return . Looks like we’ve done a complete 180 now

Sorry out celebrating my 60th last night, didn't realise we'd passed Boris's handwashing/happy birthday stage. Are we now on the handwashing/Hail Mary stage ?

People keep talking about the elderly like they're disposable which is bad enough but they're not thinking about all the babies and kids with unhardened immune systems.

I think this could be end of days stuff.

I think there’s more efficient ways of offing a population rather than ‘let a virus spread that has a 1% mortality rate and hope they get it’ considering the huge cost that it’s already incurred to the country.

He's the right expert to look after your stocks as much as possible, the wrong one to keep as many people alive as possible
