He's not saying it's OK for everyone to do what they want. He's saying it's OK for Dominic Cummings to do what he wants.

When asked if it was for the public to do what Cummings did, he didn't say no. What he said was Cummings did nothing wrong. As a member of the public what message is that sending.

That lack of talent in the cabinet is largely of his own making though. He was the one that ousted experienced heads from his party. He was the one who gave all of those numpties their jobs. It just seems staggering that he would do that under the belief that Cummings is the man that would solve everything for him. That's staggering.

Who would he have drawn from? May's Cabinet was poisonous, weak and talentless.

At this point doing the direct opposite of the president ie wear a mask and socially isolate, seems like the best course.

You are confusing follow by example with doing the opposite of the advice given. Literally everyone who told you to stay at home hasn't done so themselves.

So in a theoretical fashion, it means the stay at home advice had no basis if the ones who decided we had to do that ignored it.

No. But I've been forced into a lockdown that I had doubts about from day 1 and have seen my parents health deteriorate and have witnessed a neighbour commit suicide etc...All of these people followed Cummings lockdown, unlike him.
