Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

Am I the only one who thinks lobbing a young child in a car with 2 adults who may have Covid, for 3 or 4 hours, is the polar opposite of that ^^^^^ ?

Or have I missed sommet?

If you believe their story (stories, really), its absolutely insane behaviour that put loads of people at risk - child, his parents, his sister, his nieces - of catching this disease, to say nothing of the people he might have come into contact with at home, on the way up there or in Durham. Those stories are also completely at variance with a story his wife published, where she said he was in bed for ten days with it.

Alternatively, you could look at what we know from independent sources - that he was seen running out of Downing Street on the 27th of March, then went up to Durham that weekend and people at his address were spoken to by cops, that the cops were told he was there and that and was again seen by a neighbour outside that house on the 5th - and note that nowhere is there independent evidence to say he or his wife actually had it.

You might then be able to consider the possibility that he never had it, but that he found out the virus was nearby him on the 27th, panicked and went to his country house to try to get away from it - something loads of people have done already.

I see they’ve sent out the usual lick spittles to try and defend the indefensible again.

Career Tories prepared to throw their last shred of integrity in the bin trying to cover for the selfish actions of an unelected bureaucrat who operates Johnson’s strings.

Johnson cleared his party and cabinet of dissenting voices before the election, literally purged them. He’s now left with a cabinet that is nothing more than a collection of weak backed yes men.

The government guidelines:

Can I leave my home if I'm self - isolating?

If you or someone you live with has symptoms of Coronavirus:

Do not leave your home for any reason.

Then you get this bellend defending Cummings breaking the governments own rules.

If he's well enough to travel, he's well enough to look after his children. If there were real concerns, they should have came and got the children.

Travelling to a second home, which isn't your own, when you have symptoms is criminal - and I mean in the literal sense. It's an offence.

The government are now saying that what Cummings did was within the guidelines they set out. It will be interesting how many parents out there will now have coronavirus 'symptoms' so feel that for the welfare of their children they need to drop them off at their parents house. ;)
