I think those defending Cummings are missing the point, yes, we would all want to make sure our kids were safe, but Cummings broke the rules that were put in place by the government he works for which included not going out if you have the virus, or to visit parents or other family members.
I bet if this was a member of the public caught doing this and giving the explanation Raab allures to Cummings gave, then I bet the response from Raab and the other cronies wouldn't be the same.

It's not been flagged yet for some reason, but his wife works for the Spectator and has written several articles about them getting Corona virus and staying at their London home making cardboard castle as a family - no mention at all of not being able to look after the daughter or needing to make a trip to newcastle
