Those two stooges, the self-interested we're-not-making-money urgent care clinic owners/doctors have been rebuked by their own professional association:

TBF France might be a bit of an outlier in that it appears to have handled this relatively well, but got a savage death rate anyway.

Sorry mate, they've done better than we have, mainly by acting quicker, but to dismiss them as a possible outlier when their deaths per capita is better than the UK's, but not massively so, is a bit odd.

They, along with Spain and Italy, have had similar critcisms levelled at them than we have, all of which seem justified, especially the criticisms aimed at the UK govt who had more notice of the problem. Macron's been relatively, and refreshingly, honest and has spoken well, but, overall, when you measure the outcome in deaths, hasn't been exactly successful.

Has anyone received any furlough money yet? If so was it paid automatically by your employer or did you have to apply?

Havn't been furloughed myself, but all those I know who have been, have got their money through payroll at the end of the month as per usual. You don't need to apply, your company claims the money back from the government.

I'd guess the larger and/or more financially strong companies will be paying up on time, whereas perhaps smaller companies might have cashflow problems and being a bit slower ?

In a bit of a predicament. My Mrs (a respiratory ward nurse) is expecting twins at the start of December. This means we HAVE to move house as there is no room here, it was all planned before this all kicked off. Absolutely no idea why you can’t move house, a valuation can easily be done whilst being socially distant if arranged properly. There must be so many like us who don’t just want to move for the sake of it but absolutely need to to avoid an emergency home situation.

You local? As in the Liverpool area?

Reason I ask is my cousin is a solicitor in Birkenhead. He has done all my moves, all remotely.
