He's asking you to address the role China has played in this. Something you always avoid.
Do I? I dont think I do.

It's a pandemic and a globalised economy is the reason for it; China is one source for the outbreak, alongside other known locations in Europe.

The rest is Cold War BS and a veiled incitement to racism...and we've seen evidence of that in this country with Chinese-Britons being attacked.

Lockdown is lifted mate, police can't touch you now and the messaging means you don't have to stay home... Do whatever you want, just stay alert while you do it.

Mine aint!

Have a deal with the NHS that I can be at home, other than for essentials (ish), so Mrs R could come home and free up a bed for Boris. Until she is sorted.

It did start in China though.

Wrote to my local (Tory) MP with my frustrations over how this has been handled by the government, as well as guidance on what the UK's response should be in the aftermath. One things obvious, if we still go ahead with allowing huawei into our 5G network then the government will be bigger idiots than I already think they are for not rejecting the notion last year.

I'll look forward to the stock response I'll no doubt get.

This is a fair way of looking at it by an expert.

Erik Volz, an epidemiologist at Imperial College, said all of the very earliest genetic sequences of the virus collected in Wuhan in December and January "have almost identical genomes. And all viruses currently circulating elsewhere in the world are descended from these closely related lineages in Wuhan," he told AFP.
But experts do not think of an epidemic as having a single starting point in time, he added: rather, they are seeded "multiple times from multiple points of origin"
.

To focus on a single location of origin for the virus is ridiculous. It's as daft as pointing the finger at a place in the middle east for MERS or Hong Kong for Avian Flu.

Havn't been furloughed myself, but all those I know who have been, have got their money through payroll at the end of the month as per usual. You don't need to apply, your company claims the money back from the government.

I'd guess the larger and/or more financially strong companies will be paying up on time, whereas perhaps smaller companies might have cashflow problems and being a bit slower ?
Cheers. I’m asking for my 17 year old daughter. She works part-time in the local pub and hasn’t heard a peep to date.

I am pretty sure that if all viruses circulating in the world had descended from a lab or source in Merica, you wouldnt be blaming the geo political globalisation system for the pandemic, and excusing said Merica.
