Can we keep the EU, personal attacks, and general non Covid melt downs out of this thread please?

But these aren't personal attacks, no matter what @Joey66 keeps writing in his snitching reports.

We should be challenging fake news and IN THIS THREAD alone we have had claims of 2 million illegal immigrants in the UK (there aren't) and that we haven't left the EU (we have).

This isn't a doddery old Wethers Original figure forgetting where he's misplaced his gnome.

We should be pulling people up when they are peddling hatred. You watch what happens if the death toll rises again next week. It'll have been a load of EU nationals having a jamboree on Alan Titchmarsh's front lawn.

Meanwhile, in Sensible Town, been the quietest day probably all week.

Dropped some stuff at my parents, drove past the Lake Grounds, (massive open space with a big lake and open air pool), which would be packed usually. Its a magnet for folk from south Bristol on days like today.

Seen it busier in November.
I live between Rugby and Northampton and its been quiet here as well. It would be interesting to see the correlation between places with lower adherence to lock-down and number of cases/death rate.

Yes, I will. The murderer who let the virus rip through the country is the same one who issued the dog whistle messages over an easing of the lockdown.

Anyway, you two keep laughing and making jokes over the continuing death rate, still up in the hundreds, and offering your apology for the perpetrators of the massacre.

There are non so blind as those who will not see.

It's official - the UK has left the European Union.

A cause for celebration for some, a sobering moment for others. The UK formally ended its EU membership at the stroke of midnight on Friday in Brussels, 23:00 GMT in London

A projection of a countdown clock in Downing Street marked the occasion.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has hailed the "dawn of a new era", promising "real national renewal" after 47 years of EU membership.
Hiya how are you doing today.

A few weeks ago, I’d see people getting pulled up and I’m just not seeing that any more.

Speke seems to be full of people having BBQ’s and on the ale. Woolton is full of teenagers, as are the surrounding parks.
There’s been mention of Sefton Park being the same.

How can you realistically police this !
Personally, the issue is because the guidance, both legally and seeping down from the govt, is that the police shouldn't be reaching enforcement unless vital.

That is to engage, explain, encourage and enforce as a last resort, with any enforcement being thoroughly scrutinised - the CPS are already doing this.

There simply isn't the will from the top to really push as required so people to get the message, therefore the rank and file to an extent have their hands tied

To actually arrest someone often will require multiple breaches - sorry mate have I seen you in the park before? Fines are already being quashed etc.

If there was the will, a quick push on it could quite quickly reduce the number of people out, but we all know that will never be the case.
