They do, but as they have found it isnt as much about the disease as it is about it exposing the lack of capacity in the local health system.

Allowing this disease to spread - which is pretty much the road they've gone down - is going to over the next few weeks / months ramp up pressure on the NHS considerably; it was already under considerable pressure.

Dying of old age naturally is heartbreaking, but is not the same as dying to a deadly virus ......that's spreading with no cure .....
Mentioned using a self medicating thermometer I bet the nets in meltdown of people trying to purchase them .....

Its not letting it linger. Think of folk shopping for Christmas as opposed to folk shopping on a normal day. The shops are chaos, and struggle to cope.

Then apply that factual occurrence to the NHS having 6 months to deal with this instead of a few weeks. Like you say.There is no cure.

But it's going to be 6 months of Christmas shopping not just 2 weeks if we just let it all happen with no measures taken.

Not going into complete lockdown, I can understand. Carrying on with needless mass congregations of people doesn't achieve anything and will increase spread, so I cannot understand the governments reluctance to react.
