In an ideal world the cabinet would probably still have the likes of Hunt in it, but as he was Johnson's main challenger for leadership, that was always unlikely.

It's very peculiar seeing some folk turn to the likes of Hunt and Morgan for inspiration because both have criticised the government, despite both Hunt and Morgan being roundly derided for years. My enemies enemy I suppose. What does seem likely is stuffing the cabinet with Brexit loyalists has not been helpful, and it's been noticeable how little we've heard from the likes of Truss and Patel.

Mate of mine went for a takeaway before from a restaurant and inside basically everyone who was picking one up were told to sit on their own table which were dotted around the room with ones close enough by not in use.

Not ideal but certainly sounds an idea for when restaurants open up - providing employees are wearing gloves and masks I cant see why that wouldnt work with reduced bookings/tables in use.

Whether it’s sub-conscious, or just her face, having Patel smirking while reading out the daily death figures is not a good look.

I'm not sure I'd want to see her face reading out the shipping forecast tbh. Horrible woman.

He's a prat, without a doubt, but have you see who is in the cabinet? Having some more experience would be a good thing (and should quite probably have been cross-party).

No idea tbh. I haven't really followed the various sub-committees to see who has stood out.

Ordered a pizza earlier from our local Italian. They're doing takeaway only, but they knocked up our pizza in no time and don't think are very busy at all. Difficult times.

My mate owns a pizza shop.
He shut it down until last week.
He should have been smashing it with deliveries during lockdown but he has very elderly parents now living with him instead of care home and didn't want to risk it.
He's lost loads of money and I just hope he recovers.

(Dominos here are super busy btw.
Just had email now saying delivering until 1am as normal.)

For some any business is better than none. For many it’s best to just stay closed, it would be absolute chaos for a pub on a Friday or Saturday night......
