Suspected - surely the tendency is to suspect it, and the comparisons elsewhere - is it common for death to be attributed to Coronavirus on a suspicion without testing?

As ever, can't take anything online at face value but deaths based on symptoms/probability without testing...

Deaths associated to pneumonia, flu etc down comparatively to previous years - makes you wonder just how big the margin of error is for deaths.

This is what the alternative was to what I mentioned a while back about community deaths; if they aren’t doing post mortem testing then they are going to have to basically say if a person is likely to have had it based on nothing other than symptoms reported.

Never watched so much news lately but has it always been like this? Stating what a bunch of liars have told them as national news instead of you know actually being a journalist and finding out what is actually happening. Laura could do with signing up here and joining the ranks of the lads who jump to the Tory defence. Their backs must be aching by now....

SARS, MERS, COVID-19, all brothers, all 95%+ genetically identical, all came from a family of viruses from bats/animal origin.

SARS - 8,098 cases, 774 deaths

MERS - 2494 cases, 858 deaths

COVID-19 - 3,320,541 cases, 234,392 deaths, only just getting started.


Conclusion, the Bat stir fries in Wuhan are something else aren't they.

I once had a fear of bats after I fell down a well as a child and my screams awoke all of the bats sleeping in that dark, dank place, but I learned to overcome this fear. I suggest you do the same.

I'll be honest, I'm very sceptical about the daily death totals. Knowing how the data is captured, processed and communicated it seems to me there is no way they can be all that accurate.

Oh no, the bike obsession is down to being abandoned by my parents on a distant planet as an infant.
