Given in the queen's Speech (s)he said:

'The integrity and prosperity of the United Kingdom is of the utmost importance to my government.' and 'Steps will be taken to grow and support the National Health Service’s workforce'

I'd say it's fair to scrutinise the initial response and ongoing action of the current Government.

Absolutely, in fact there is no time when it’s not fair to scrutinise the initial response and ongoing action of *any* government.

The undermining of comparison's has been weaponised to detract from what is, without a shadow of a doubt, a rank national performance by the UK governing class. That's something you should at least acknowledge in your posts. Are you doing it to help out The Johnson Gang? No, I dont think that at all. But the very act of stating that all comparisons are invidious plays into their hands. That's what they want: "Oh, you cant measure this against that, because this is included here and that's not oncluded there...etc etc".

Plough through all that and look at the actual (combined) figures for deaths from Covid19 in this country and tell me there's any mitigating comparison that can be made for the UK Government. You cant. Dont give them succour by going over the top with your methodological arguments.

Just wait, the Government will run round with death rates that include just care homes and hospital, and proclaim its not that bad, as if it were a balance sheet or a share price drop. The next phase will be deaths per million...

He won’t read this because he has blocked me, but “political nonsense” is anything he disagrees with.

As a relevant example, citing Farage’s opinion is fine. Saying Farage is wrong is “political”.
That is an utter load of crap and you know it. Firstly I frequently criticise politicians of all persuasions if I think they are talking nonsense. Secondly I applaud any politician that speaks sense.

I haven't seen much of the latter lately so I haven't been giving out much praise. The one exception being Andy Burnham who I've been very impressed with and the only politician I have seen so far who has come up with any constructive ideas to help the government out.

Because I don't criticise every single move this government make you have me labelled as a Tory and that's how small minded you people are.

The reason I have you on ignore is that I asked you to keep the purely political stuff out of this specific thread because I preferred to see it used for more informative discussion, which includes criticism of decisions and policies. You refused so I put you and others who do the same on ignore. Nothing personal. And yes I also have right wing posters on ignore

Confused about this ignore feature does it work or is there some sort work round?

... and yet:

... and yet:

And yet what? You've only confirmed what I have just said in linking that post

Dunno but I presume you can apply it on and off
The downside to having people on ignore is that ongoing conversations sometimes make no sense as you only see one half of the conversation. So there is a facility to show hidden content on a page, which is what I was using when I came across your post
