Just got back from A+E with my misses who has terminal cancer , she was ill all day and we were waiting all day for an out of hours doctor to call and he finally came at 9.30pm checked her over and told me she had covid19 (I didn't think it was ) .
At 11 they took her away in an ambulance but I couldn't go with her because she was going straight to the red zone.
I said goodbye to her at the back of the ambulance for what I thought was the last time.3 hours later I get a call to come and pick her up and they told me it probably was just the cancer.
I know she hasn't got long but she lives to fight another day.
God bless her

Sorry, I don't think I'm an idiot for going out for my state-allowed exercise.

I do think people are idiots for going and having bbq's, though, or hanging in big groups.

There's clearly a difference and we were talking about the latter? I haven't done anything against the rules other than a day when I went on a bike ride and a walk. If I'm an idiot for that then so be it.

 I'm sure everyone uses arbitrary rules to do whatever they want anyway, just as you are. Hopefully you'll grow to understand that you're no different to them though.

Interesting statistic.

They are saying 66% of covid patients die on ventilators

So i wondered what the comparison was to generally ventilator patients.

According to a couple of studies I read, generally there is a 33% death rate at this point.

So seems once a patient reaches that stage with covid, it's much more dangerous than other illness

Jeepers mate, sorry to hear all that sound like an absolute ordeal and your heart wouldn't be the better for it, what a massive emotional roller coaster. Dr on call sounds like he jumped the gun a bit. Hope you are both doing good and hopefully they did something for her symptoms in the hospital? Are the Palliative care team visiting you guys at home?
