Yeah it definitely has that feel about it where I am. Lockdowns could only last so long before people jibbed them off. Surely we all knew that to be the case when this started.
Which is why we do have to keep this one going as long as poss though until we're fully through the peak.
NHS needs to be able to handle a second spike so we need it to have that breathing room.
But yeh, there's no chance any country should be considering going back into lockdown.
It's ludicrous that they're using a 16th-century 'solution' (that isn't actually a solution) in 2020.
The world has to start again because if not you just have to say everything is off until a vaccine is found - which could be years and isn't even 100% certain to work as most coronaviruses (from reading up on them) consistently mutate anyway - so it's just having a general immunity too them which means you don't get a bad dose (which is where this virus is similar to flu in that sense). They'd have to treat it like a flu jab surely. Just something that gives you a bit of added protection but isn't a 'cure' as such.
Regardless, the world needs to bite the bullet and carry on after these initial measures. Gradually and slowly get back to normal over the course of the next several months.
If not then we might as well do this forever and with whatever new virus comes.
