But the people running the country have a choice to ban the biggest killer in the country.

Whole other topic of discussion though. Why governments allow people to smoke knowing full well the long term picture of it rather than ban it outright

I caught a bad Flu a few years ago and lost my sense of smell for the best part of a year, in fact I'd say it was nearly 18 months till it was back to normal.

You lose a lot of your sense of taste as well, I was putting chilli/spices in everything just to stop food tasting bland.

The shame of care homes is not that people are dying, they do that all the time, it’s that families do not look after their parents or grandparents while at home, alive. Care homes are used by some, not all, as an easy way to relinquish responsibility for the care of their family.....

Tbf Pete think we have enough to debate/argue about in this thread without throwing that particular rhetorical grenade into the mix.

I`ve just had this out with my missus and she reckons people will more or less stick to it.

I`m not so sure, as this week I`ve seen a lot more people out and about than the last few weeks, particularly teenagers, plus the financial pressure from commerce and industry on the government must be immense.

As an example, the head of the Cornish Tourist Board has been in the media over the past few days, saying that if Cornwall doesn`t get some sort of Christmas in the Summer, that Cornwall will in effect be wiped off the map as a county.

Whats the story with sheets of dried lasagne ffs? Shops are stocked well now, have been for a while. Bog roll and even paracetamol are easily obtained, as are pretty much every other type of pasta.

But no lasagne at all. I do not believe the country have turned into homemade lasagne experts over night. Weird.

Community deaths will be high as well. Anyway, there has been a push in the last 15 20 years to support people in the community as long as possible. And lost count of the people who would rather choose the care setting than be with families... Really is not just a case of relinquishing responsibility.

Sort of both. It was originally just the cycling but I got sick off getting overtaken by fat fellas in pink lycra outfits bombing around.
