TBF the idea that he wasn’t that ill is kind of a distraction from the rather more likely scenario that he was ill and that the government spent a couple of days blatantly lying to the country about it.

It will be. China has had Western countries all competing to get in there or get ‘investments’, when all we’ve really done is transfer manufacturing jobs and wealth to China. The West should use this and say enough is enough, demand reparations and treat them at arms length. But we won’t because they will just play us off against each other while they invest the money we generate for them into their infrastructure ,military and space programmes.....

There is a strong irony of individualism and nationalism in your post I'm sure they will use any up and coming trade deals to their full advantage just like Trump and all the rest, Que Sera Sera or be careful what you wish for...

I view him as a believable and amusing minor character in a pg wodehouse novel. Certainly not as a leader.

My mum works the hospital by mine and she is saying A&E and ICU are a lot less busier than anticipated. Near empty tbh

Workers being told they can take days off when two weeks ago they were told no annual leave for a while.


That’s just one hospital though. Could be a lot different everywhere else.

Tbh I would expect this. We effectively cleared the decks and built up capacity for Covid19 while frightening everyone else from paying any kind of visit to hospital, closing down transport and delaying other medical appointments. The Covid19 didn’t overwhelm our capacity after all, so now things are reasonably quiet......
