Could we take a look at what that might look like though.

His entourage would all be under non-disclosure agreements so nothing going to come from them.
Doctors and nurses wouldn't say anything as he legitimately went in with symptoms of the virus.
What I think happened is that Johnson has displayed mild symptoms and was advised by Cummings to be admitted as a precaution, just as we were told at the time. He came out 6-7 days later and we were told it was "touch and go" for a while even though he wasn't even ventilated. How was it touch and go if he wasn't even on a ventilator?
He is now holed up at Chequers and has been for some time, and avoiding scrutiny.......again! and MOST importantly doesn't want his picture appearing next to the daily death toll figures and reports of his governments gross negligence in handling most aspects of the crisis we all face. It just wouldn't look good yanno.

If you see the Lesser Spotted Johnson before I do giz a shout mate.

I would expect to see him when the death figures start to really come down, or when it's all over bar the shouting. Till then he's quite happy to let Hancock and that dreadful woman who is the Minister for Care, who doesn't really........ take all the flak.

Have to hand it to Cummings he's played us all like a fiddle, as has Johnson.

The word deluded doesn't begin to describe it if you seriously believe a PM would be able to.get away with doing this and no one leaking something to the press.

To be fair, 79,000 people died of the flu in Australia last autumn/winter, as they struggled to cope with a particularly virulent strain. It's quite possible they went into this already primed.

Sounds to me like this whole thing started in Australia. They have bats don't they.?

They had over 300,000 cases of flu last year, compared to under 60,000 the year before. The NHS were warned about it, as our flu typically originates from there, and the vaccines last winter were based on the Australian flu. Whether that flu had a similar impact here, much less whether the symptoms of it could be confused with covid, I really have no idea.

Wow. I didn't know any of that Bruce. I think this years flu was bad. Loads had it around late December and early January, so much so that my missus and many on here believe it could have been CV19.

But it sounds like it was probably just good old Australian flu

TBF the idea that he wasn’t that ill is kind of a distraction from the rather more likely scenario that he was ill and that the government spent a couple of days blatantly lying to the country about it.

I agree you can't always trust him but faking illness is a step too far.

It also distracts from calamities of his leadership in dealing with this crisis prior to falling ill.
On a side note and doing the work I do, he has a very good back story of someone who could be struggling with mental health now...

I agree you can't always trust him but faking illness is a step too far.

Going to be interesting to see how this Government deals with Uncle Xi, we have invested so much with China over the last decade...

It will be. China has had Western countries all competing to get in there or get ‘investments’, when all we’ve really done is transfer manufacturing jobs and wealth to China. The West should use this and say enough is enough, demand reparations and treat them at arms length. But we won’t because they will just play us off against each other while they invest the money we generate for them into their infrastructure ,military and space programmes.....
