Not in the slightest mate. I think you will see that over the years I have admired your stances, if not agreeing with them.

You have a certain posting style that can be very very funny, (Moyes/bayonetes/babies) was a particular fave. It can also be, at times, daft.

Comparing senior UK medical professionals to a Nazi "Doctor" is not your finest moment.
Fair enough.

But surely it's not the first time anyone on here has fallen foul of Godwin's Law? Are they all moderated by getting called a tool x2?

I pretty much expect that stuff off some of the no marks who seem to take great delight in winding me up, but not off you.

They would, but would that alone warrant the 100%+ increase was my point e.g. has Liverpool seen a similar increase with the Atleti fans travelling to the city?

Like I said, I suspect it has played a part, but I do wonder if it's another example of simply picking the easy links rather than investigating it in the required detail.
Contact tracing would be give us some clarity.....

Nobody will really know until it's all over but one thing is for sure it fell right in with the herd immunity policy that Boris was pushing at the time.

Not that there is the people to do this now, but it would be interesting to do a study of the people who the Atleti fans came into contact with (hotel workers, designated pubs staff, people who work in the Anfield Road end of the tin mine etc) and see whether there was a higher rate of infection than a control group.
Which would be the same you'd expect from Cheltenham to see if it really did have such an impact: 1,000 attendees (mixed demographics) and a control group.

Contact tracing too.

Ok, I have no idea who this anonymous person is (clearly this forum takes privacy very seriously) but whoever it is, knock it off! lol lol lol
Yeah I’m guessing @Prevenger17 didn’t see you were a forum supporter

Political motivation. Although in the context of the post, I expect someone who wanted to push a racist agenda could make the case for an engineered virus. It seems a pretty weak example to suggest 'You can't even speculate that the virus was created in a lab because of how people seem to think the people who claim it are racist or xenophobic or something'.

However, I'm sure @LinekersLegs can speak for themselves.
I mean, how can you determine it weak for 'racist or xenophobic' to be the reason, but be fine to assume it's because of politics. They're both speculation in your eyes, no? Personally I think it seems like racist or xenophobic are the motives being referred to by LL.

It does have caveats in the article.

As I said above “I’ll freely admit those motives were included although “distraction from incompetent local handling” was the major one I was referring to.”

To expand - Trump voters do sometimes make statements out of pure xenophobia but in this case those supporters pushing the “all escaped from a lab” main motive seems to push the focus/blame from Trump’s own handling.

I think it's a weak position to make the statement you made based upon your interpretation of the post. I didn't infer any specific motive - it want apparent from the post.

Stop being silly.
lel What?? It's a totally reasonable question. This thinking is pretty common on the internet.

Yeah I understand that, but you had no evidence for it being political either.

No it isn't. People are just not inclined to spend the time cooking.

I used to do shopping in Aldi for my partner and I and spent about £35 for a week's worth of food. No ready meal crap, pizzas. Fresh meat, fruit and vegetables. Frozen veg where applicable as the nutritional content is often higher than fresh.

You can make a chickpea and sweet potato curry that will feed two people for two nights for about £3.50.

A free range whole chicken from Aldi is £3.15, has enough meat for an evening meal with salad and potatoes, and some for sandwiches the next day.

Ham, cheese, salad and bread for sandwiches for four days is about £6.50, less even.

That's three evening meals and five days of lunches for £13.

Can't now. Peteblue's hoarded all the chickpeas, if I'm not mistaken.

I know. Which is why I told you I didn't infer anything from it. It was only your instance it only had one interpretation that gave me cause to suggest political.

A cynic might say it's almost like you've introduced a non sequitur purely so you can pre-emptively dismiss it in future discussions.
