Seem the same in both Italy and US
Do we have any idea what % of those losses are down to non-Covid19 conditions?

California is also advising everyone to wear them when go out.The Germans are now advising it as part of their lockdown easing.
That's good enough for me. I'd rather do what they do than take the advice of this Butcher Government of ours.
Keep the faith. Your day will come. All of the graphs show they are flattening, 3 more weeks and there will be a staggered start back to how things were.
Has it gotten that bad that we are comparing ourselves with the regimes of those two countries? Can anyone even imagine China or Russia holding one of these daily update and Q&A sessions.......
Our government is advising "they're of no use....erm, hold on they might be, we'll see what the global evidence says....erm....we've looked and we cant make up our mind....sorry, just hold on a minute we think it might be ok in some circumstances...maybe..."California is also advising everyone to wear them when go out.
If widespread use of masks in public would reduce the chances of another lockdown how open do you think people in UK would be to it?
Haven’t seen any decent data analysis of it unfortunately, you’d think a fair proportion are the heart attack/strokevictims that doctors aren’t seeing turn up in ERs anymore.Do we have any idea what % of those losses are down to non-Covid19 conditions?
Might help in minimising the effects of the mask wearer coughing or sneezing but then so would a handkerchief.Quite a few already wear them. I think that most would prefer that health and care workers had them instead. When I was in ICU, the proper ones the staff used, are single use, so I am unconvinced they are little more than a placebo for the general public.
Our instructuons here in California are non surgical masks because of that shortfall in PPE. The idea is that they don’t protect you, just stop you from spreading a stray sneeze to all and sundry.Quite a few already wear them. Not every droplet no, but the evidence seems to suggest the reduction is still useful. But wearing one gives the impression that you wont get it. A non surgical mask would not prevent droplets from a sneeze getting beyond one anyrate.
