Preaching from your monastery brother Bruce ?
So you don't drink, smoke, do drugs and just eat lettuce.
Wouldn't be arsed waiting for Corona virus mate, I'd beg for it. lol

Don't smoke, haven't taken any drugs in nearly 20 years, drink rarely, and cycle a lot, so, yeah, try and eat well.

Live how you like, just don't complain that the NHS can't cope when it's our lifestyles that result in it not coping.

Anyone fed up with their neighbours yet? Mines a builder and he's never stopped making noise - be it jet washing to hammering things to drilling I mean have a day off ffs.

Only good thing has been his trophy wife occasionally sunbathes in the garden topless so I get to have a little peekarooney when doing the polishing upstairs.
Is it only the furniture getting polished ???

Think the lockdown must have stopped, as the 4 hour bike rides on my Strava have become six hour bike rides oday.
Cycling Ireland are doing virtual races online
I seen a news report on it an a couple of professional irish ,French and Italian riders are competing
It has races for all levels
Not got a scooby how it works but lads were on funny bikes in their living rooms with the races on the TV
I am sure the cycling Ireland website will have all the info

All i am saying is it isnt as black and white as you paint it.

No, of course. Just saying that people are hammering the NHS/government for not preparing for this situation, but the same could equally apply for many of us, as the virus overwhelmingly affects those with underlying conditions, whether that's obesity, diabetes, lung issues from smoking, and so on. If we look in the mirror, can we honestly say we keep ourselves in as good a health as we might do?

As was said over the weekend until we get a vaccine it will be a new type of normal living with social distancing remaining for months and months
Some of my colleagues are working on policy responses to the crisis here in NI. As far as I’m aware they are looking at exit strategies, but at present this mainly entails looking at what’s being done in China etc and seeing how it goes. Too early to make any moves until the underlying trend in the data show that things are on the decline in terms of infection rates and numbers of deaths.

No.

There's certainly more I could do to be more healthy, even as somebody of normal weight.

Unfortunately many people don't like to admit personal responsibility.

You only have to look at the sale of alcohol during this crisis, not exactly putting your body in the best position to fight a virus.

That of course is a whole different issue and you would hope that if/when this is all over many of us will look at ourselves and question our lifestyles and the way we live.
