Some teachers have been going into hub schools since the lockdown began; others have been spending the day doing online group lessons and others, homework groups after school ours. They do their bit without looking for praise. Sadly, a number of people choose to believe otherwise but they would also be the people who see nothing good in anything / anyone, IMO.

My mate is a head teacher and he's been in every day. Even covering the caretaker as he's self isolating. Last week he was with the crafts teacher making masks for the NHS. He delivered all the science department's protective gear to local hospitals too.

Another hasn't had to go in but has volunteered for the NHS.

I spoke with a teacher yesterday he said he would be surprised to see schools back in till September, so basically missing a term.
All being well, my wife expects mid-June to be the time that they'll go back, but obviously it depends on how the virus is managed between now and then.

They're worried that it would mean that children, including their most vulnerable, would be away from a safe environment for what would be nearly six months.

If it's safe, they'd like to go back to build up some form of routine and ensure the children aren't lost in the system etc. and September becoming a nightmare.

With regards to Hubs, her school has had five or six children in this week, and they've primarily been key workers; with vulnerable children, it was closer to fifteen.

If the teachers aren't doing on-line learning courses throughout the day, they're in the school with the children with little to no PPE equipment available.

Anyone fed up with their neighbours yet? Mines a builder and he's never stopped making noise - be it jet washing to hammering things to drilling I mean have a day off ffs.

Only good thing has been his trophy wife occasionally sunbathes in the garden topless so I get to have a little peekarooney when doing the polishing upstairs.

Get yourself a decent trampoline mate. :)

They just released a stat in my state of Virginia(be arsed to call it "the commonwealth" the entitled prats), all liquor is sold by the state. Nobody can sell any vodka/whiskey/etc except for their ABC stores. Sales are up 143% over this time last year.

Anyone get the feeling the government have completely f***** this?

Yes, but, its not an easy thing, we all have different ways we could have handled it, but the fact is that it has pulled down the pants of 99% of countries in the world.

It has utterly mugged off the smartest people all over the place, so of course the stupid never stood a chance.
