So,

The UK’s tactics for dealing with Covid 19 are going well.

Deaths up to near 1000 in the last 24hrs with no end in sight.

Who’s culpable?

The scientists, the government, the irresponsible people or the whole lot of them.

It’s confusing why prisons are being emptied, but care homes, which are essentially a massive vat of petrol waiting for a Covid shaped match are not.

If someone’s kids are able to care for them at home, surely they should be discharged.

But what’s the growth rate? We always knew the absolute number would increase over this period but is the rate of increase slowing?

im not trying to downplay this by the way but I wouldn’t expect the absolute numbers to start falling yet. if the rate is falling, however, that is an improvement.

Playing devil advocate it's well known moving older people is a killer, sure makes sense to move them even it just shaves a couple of thousand off COVD19 deaths it will look good, or is this another way to spread the herd immunity, move people out of the care homes (Petri dish) and into the wider community...

Is a carehome not the safest place for the most vulnerable if they can be very careful about who works there? Ideally you'd want all staff down to a minimum and have said staff all in shared accom.
