Been there a couple of times Pete.
Carrière Wellington, one of the quarries they launched their hidden offensive from, is a great museum. We’ve done most the front over the years.

We were really looking forward to it, and going with a group of good friends. It would have been great, but this bleeding virus will almost certainly still be hanging around, and all of us are in the ‘at risk’ group so it’s safer to be in the U.K......

Right not making a point with this , just interesting thoughts I think anyhow.

Between 1st Jan and 31st march 2019, 124000 people died in the UK. Between 28th December and 31st march this year , 150000 have died.

Only 1600 were covid-19 deaths , so there was a significant increase in deaths this year anyway.

No idea what the cause of the spike was.

Is it possible covid was around much earlier than thought and some deaths went below radar?

Certainly my belief. We would have put the extras down to flu. We have all been bad since the New Year, I had the temperature, shakes and the cough through Jan and Feb, my wife had it earlier and she rarely gets ill. We both had had the flu jab as we always do so god only knows.....

A close relative of mine (who is rarely ill and generally fit as a butchers) had the same illness at the beginning of Jan. Lasted about a week and then they were right as rain again.

High Temp, Dry Cough, headaches and aching all over. Couldn’t get out of bed for 2-3 days.

This is what I’m on about, many people had the same, but we all put it down to normal flu.... bleeding lying CCP......

I had this back in February. We all laugh about ‘manflu’ but I have never been so ill. Will never know now.

Expect Boris to make a ‘miraculous’ recovery within the next few days, having ‘proved’ to the public that the lockdown is justified.

To be fair most people are quite happy to be sat at home as long as the government are covering their wages so this whole pantomime is to their benefit as well.

Had a bad about of what I thought and still could be flu late December early January, lasted about two weeks, headaches, sneezing, coughing, felt like crap. Seemed to start in a New year's eve party in my neighbours, just lost my voice for about an hour, still heroically drank on. Always take the flu jab, cause I'm a diabetic.
