That's all true.

The narrative sounds otherwise because of the way I'm interpreting it . He's fine , just a bit sick. He's fine , just having to go into hospital for a few checks. Oh hes fine , just being overly careful by moving him into the ICU.

See what I mean? I get you never disclose the reality of your leader. Been the same for hundreds of years , they were never going to come out and tell you the truth for the most part of it. It's just when it's getting serious that it's kinda silly to keep downplaying it almost to pretend it's not happening.

I think anyhow.

Yes they've definitely been underplaying it for the obvious reasons ...

You don't go into intensive care and are fine in any short term afterwards.

He might be fine in that he eventually recovers but will have a reasonably lengthy period of rest and recuperation even in the best scenario for him.

There will have to be someone standing in for him and Raab as foreign secretary will be the immediate stand-in, incidentally Sunak as chancellor is next in line if Raab took ill too.

I think it was an interpretation of those stats I read yeah.
The advantage of the Italy results is it is a bigger data set and they have had longer to see how some the cases have resolved which has hopefully meant an increase in their recovered metrics.

The disadvantage is that there may be differences between Italy and UK, such as who is classed for ICU admission, that don’t make the figures directly comparable.

Whichever way you slice it, admission into the ICU indicates a serious and worrying situation.

He's not on a ventilator according to Sky News so hopefully he's just sick as a dog but not in any serious danger. This whole thing should, once he's back to work, cause him to fight tooth and nail to get testing equipment available for the masses. Hancock needs running out of Westminster he's been inept.

probably just more routine tests then !

Didnt he shake hands with people who were tested positive?

He was pointedly shaking hands with people in hospitals who were suspected of being infected, don't think they had been tested.

I don't wish for him die, he's a father (got one on the way too), a brother and a son. But there is no disputing the fact he has brought this totally on himself, a month or so ago he and many other leaders were not taking this anywhere close to as seriously as they needed to be doing.
