I’m not a Labour supporter by any stretch of the imagination nor am I a conservative, but you’ve used one example and identified a party.

I have simlly used the same example but a different time and party: how is that scraping the barrel?

Because the vehicles were more modern when used in your example and we were still learning about ied’s, by the time both Iraq and the Afghanistan came about, not only was the problem known but solutions were available but not ordered......

There’s no need for this really is there....I mean really....
I'd say it was bad taste for someone to blame local emergency planners for not purchasing enough PPE for front line NHS workers (not that they would actually do that anyway) to deflect away from a questionable government response to a pandemic, but each to their own.

Trying to blame local service providers for the complete failure of a coherent and proactive national strategy is completely disingenuous, and nothing more than deliberate deflection from the reality.

I’ll give you that. It was uncalled for.....

Well, you obviously never served in NI because the PIRA were pretty darn proficient at roadside IEDs (culvert bombs) and it was rubbish then too.

yep, look to the leadership...I even published PHE’s organigram and pointed out at least two individuals....

“A health department source told the Sunday Times: 'NHS England and Public Health England were reluctant to relinquish their power to private labs.
'Stevens has this absolutely illogical fear of anyone else getting any say over what happens in the NHS.'
A study by the free-market Adam Smith Institute was also critical of NHS quangos for not embracing help from the private sector earlier, and being slow to react.
The report said: 'The UK's COVID-19 testing has been dangerously slow, excessively bureaucratic and hostile to outsiders and innovation.
'There appears to be an innate distrust of outsiders. PHE has actively discouraged use of private sector testing.
'Even within the system, the process for testing and validation is very centralised.”......

I think you are agreeing with me, yes, they were rubbish, so we should have learnt from it, but we didn’t, twice.....anyway for another thread....

That story is very high up the BBC website.
Much more prominent than the RS taking taxpayers money which seems to have now disappeared.
Funny that.
Pics of the brasses would help as well.

Are ladies of the night accepted these days then?

Would be interesting to see how many folk on here own up to having banged one considering the amount of footballers that get upto it.

sort of embarassing how a 90+ year old can school politicians in how to make a statement

you might even have been able to tell the bits they'd written (the rainbows bit, "we'll meet again") and the bits she had

I thought she hit the right notes tbh, mind you she’s seen out an awful lot of Prime Ministers and MP’s......
