Dunno thought they said if you’ve had it once you develop an antibody for it and shouldn’t get sick again

Yeh the likelihood is you'll have some form of immunity. They can't be 100% certain but most viruses work that way don't they.

Think there has been reported cases of people getting it a second time but in each instance it has been immediately on the back of the first time they had it (as in a matter of days).

Yes fully expect higher taxes and how else are we going to get the economy back on track. Can't argue with it can you.

Well considering a big hatred of the Tories is for their cuts to vital institutions like adult social care, NHS, frontline staff and the local councils I would say inevitably yes people will be angry when these services are hit even harder in future.

There's a lot of people who were 'unlucky' is my point and the answer at the moment is just use Universal Credit. A system which is obviously clogged atm and doesn't exactly compensate fully.

That point in bold - you've been banging on about health. Well hang on, so unemployed people (who may have worked 5-6 years or longer either on a certain skill or trying to build up a business which has launched in the last 12 months (12, not 2!) and aren't getting any help should just go and work in a supermarket? And not only that, but isn't that putting themselves and their families at risk? Since, you know, being in a supermarket 8 or 9 hours a day right now isn't exactly the safest place to be?

And yes I fully agree on the last point about having to pay it back. I've said as much myself. But, we surely, as tax-payers, don't want even more to be paying back when the time comes. And that's what will happen if the gov keeping topping these schemes up.

Are people that have been employed elsewhere for many years or built up a new business too good to work in supermarkets? If you're unemployed you should take any job if you're desperate for the cash. The same way I tell anyone I know if they lose their job to immediately sign on.

Like are you strapped for cash? Would you turn down a steady job at ASDA?

Where is all this talk of dropping the stay at home order in a few weeks? The numbers are still rising, we are on a steeper trajectory than nearly every other country and the numbers are rising massively each day

They were always going to.

No country in Europe has seen any results from lockdown until the end of week 3 at the earliest.

We're at the end of week 2 so yes the numbers are going to be rising right now. We have to hope that, like Italy and Spain (each in week 4 now) our curves in terms of confirmed cases and deaths flatten off in the next 10-14 days.

Even if that job is endangering yourself and others and potentially putting more strain on the NHS?

There's no easy answer to this and saying unemployed people should just go for a job in a supermarket isn't right either.

Of course but their lockdowns are much stricter, we still have people treating it as a bank holiday. I think outs will go on a bit longer than 2-3 weeks.

But I thought you said the economy was equally as concerning as health? Are you now saying health is more concerning than economy with this statement?

Like I said it all works into one thing.

For the moment, as in the next however many weeks (4-6 you'd hope) we are in lockdown and have to follow the rules, don't we. Not arguing with that.

But after that, we can't keep at this so there's going to have to be a solution. And I know you don't disagree with that either, btw.

If - big if - Denmark etc come out of lockdown in a steady and phased manner then we could surely look at that as a template to use.

The Sweden thing, we'll have to wait and see how that plays out. If they come out of this smelling of roses there will be anger. But it could also go terribly wrong for them too. I hope it doesn't because I don't want people to die, obviously.

Tbh mate I think thats the new media stereotype bull thats replaced narratives such as everyone on benefits is lazy and has a 60 inch TV.

Go round any town centre or city centre and its barren - just because folk are out exercising / walking dogs and not barricaded inside by armed forces doesnt mean its a jolly up.

Netherlands are the same as us. So are Belgium I believe. Denmark have allowed people out. Norway too. Sweden haven't locked down at all. Not sure on France.

It's Spain and Italy who have stricter lockdowns as it stands.

There has been pictures of parks full but it's been in London - you know, where the only green space are parks. Yes people sunbathing are idiots and should be getting fined on the spot. It's the same people flouting the rules.

My sister lives next to Roundhay Park in Leeds and she says apart from local residents walking or running, it's dead. Two weeks ago today before the lockdown it was very busy, so it has worked.

This notion that there are loads of people going about their lives as normal is ridiculous.
