So a few days then.

Yeah if you want. Not sure what difference it makes?

EDIT: Just noticed the confusion. No, the advice to close specific businesses was a few days, but the advice for the public to avoid pubs, gyms etc. was a few weeks. It was a "stay open but for the love of god people don't go" situation - hurting businesses but refusing to act and close them.

We knew what was coming in January, we didnt act till March.

Dress it up however you want, but I would expect criminal charges once the dust settles.

We are following the same curves as others, do you expect criminal charges in all these countries. Or, perhaps, we just didn’t really know what we were up against, bearing in mind all the lies given to us by the originator nation.....oh, and just checked again with the most recent data, and Sweden still only has 10% of our deaths with 15% of our population, so even now we still don’t know what the best response would have been.....

I was wrong about it. Is what it is.

You're wrong about what feels like hundreds of things on a daily basis but seem incapable of being able to recognise it.

Also, very, very irrelevant.

But that’s the point, we all make mistakes, then we learn then we change.......

For your next trip to Tesco

Is that you Nymz?

Was nearly a week, but the point was he was prepared to try and get away with it.

Tried to be smart and got called out. I know several business owners in the leisure sector in particular who are absolutely raging at him.

I know one, myself, who is quite happy with what had to be done. I also know a business owner in the retail sector, my wife, and she is quite happy with the support given as well. The government did the right thing and is giving Business support that no other country is giving...

Pretty sure it was all in the same announcement. But I am not making political points in the midst of a pandemic. You are.

No it wasn't?

It went "bars can stay open but please people don't go", which lasted for well over a week, to "our official advice is for these businesses to close", which was several days again until "we are demanding these businesses close".

So he consciously hurt those businesses by asking people not to go, then asking them to close, before finally demanding they close and putting in a scheme to somewhat protect lost revenue.

As for political points? I've explained it before but I find it impossible to separate politics from this. You might find it distasteful, but I find it extremely important that they are correctly held to account for their actions and people like peteblue don't whitewash what happened and what Cummings/Johnson did in the early stages of this.

When I came around in an ICU, with every manner of measuring equipment attached to me, the treatment had already been done, the ICU was somewhere for 24 hour bedside surveillance to take place as my body went through the Initial trauma of recovery. No treatment, just care.......horses for courses though.....

That sounds more like a surgical/trauma or even cardiac/neuro ICU experience than a medical ICU.

My grandson who is at Liverpool Uni is at home in Nottingham. As far as I know the Uni is closed.
All Uni's shut down weeks ago mate. They're well rehearsed in home learning and started early. Not sure how they're going to arrange the exams though. It's mostly project work anyway
