It's a tough one because the govt are experts in doing things like this. I knew one woman who was a carer and was ill so went to claim PIP, was refused then she said she had to go to another assessment a year later to see if she was still able to carry out her carers duties and almost lost that money. Also a few people have applied for Universal Credit as well as carers allowance but have ended up worse off.
I think once you claim UC you wouldn't be entitled to the reimbursement because you are already claiming some form of income, or that would be taken from you if you applied. These schemes seem to be deliberately confusing to deter people from using them or that they somehow end up out of pocket.
I hope that you've got enough to live on until June. My cousin the massive tax Dodger is waiting until then but has enough money stashed away from his undeclared earnings to live on. Only bonus is that he will get nowhere near what he actually earns and can't claim for 3 employees because technically they do not exist.
Cheers for the reply mate, yeah it's like things are designed to just pit you off, I can't be bothered going through all the crap trying to claim £120 a fortnight to then be told in June I'm not entitled to 80% wages because I made a claim so was no longer self employed or something
I've got enough to get by for the month and hopefully get my rebate end of April if its really needed if we're still on lockdown, hope the banks are helpful after all this as I'm eating my deposit I've been trying to save haha
