It could be bought out though, something Johnson did himself before (with Metronet). They’d save tens of billions over the 20-30 year period most of it will be being paid otherwise.

That can be thought about afterwards. It will have no material effect upon the current crisis......

At this moment in time I don't feel like I'm living in a Police state and to tell you the truth round where I live I've seen no more Police on the streets than normal.

My biggest concern is those people grassing on others and wasting Police time.
A few more police on the roads here (Ireland )
Mainly just a presence for people congregating
Anyone who is classed as an essential worker should have a letter on them from their employer and photo ID
A few lads in work have been stopped and asked for it but not many.

Sunlight does not kill the virus. Only a specific type and intensity of UV light does and there isn't enough in sunlight.
Which is good as the UV that does kill viruses damages DNA and RNA so would be pretty harmful to humans.

Sorry, I stand corrected.

loose pledges and loose deadlines from Hancock, someone with half a brain needs to get a grip of this administration and tell them that during a crisis they have to be honest and clear and they will recieve a lot space to work. Unfortunately it so alien to this lot and vague misinformation is the only language they speak
Hancock talking about tests 'by end of April'.
Kinnell.. That's a long way off the way this is going.

We'll be on lockdown til kin Christmas way its carrying on.

I dont think we will be, quite, but I am convinced we wont have just one lock down. Let the NHS do their job, loosen the ties, give the NHS a break, then it will start up again.

The idea being that the NHS will be better prepared and resourced, the population will be less stupid with panic buying and that, and the end game of some sort of mass immunisation is nearer.

Then we cancel Christmas to pay for it anyrate.
