Also proper hate out swingers. It's going away from goal, how do you score from that??

Both have positives and negatives. In swingers are easier to flick towards goal as ideally they'll be heading towards the goal, but it can be easier for defenders.

Out swingers are obviously facing away from goal, but they can be cleanly connected by an attacking player and cause defenders a multitude of problems.

Variations from corners are fine in swingers, out swingers, short corners, low corners hit in hard etc etc anything to bring the element of surprise...
