CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Just thought I'd pop in to share my views.

As a Leeds fan, right now I should be foaming at the mouth of any mention of David Moyes for obvious reasons, but he's just too likeable of a man for me to resent, even if he is about to become manager of our biggest rivals. I'm not going to lie, I just can't wish him good luck purely because of him going to that club, but he is a good guy and certainly less hatable than Ferguson, and even though he will be the next manager of that lot, I won't hate him. Same with if Mourinho goes to Chelsea. God, what next? AVB to Liverpool? Holloway to Millwall? There may well be a trend of unlikeable clubs getting really likeable managers!

I also think that Ferguson was hugely responsible for why a lot of neutral fans hate Man Utd. I won't list why but Moyes doesn't seem to have certain tendencies that Ferguson did and I think his Man Utd may in fact win a fair few people over...although obviously not Leeds, Liverpool nor Man City fans, for obvious reasons.

I think your fans overall have handled this with dignity and graciousness. I know Everton and Man Utd have a certain common bond but I was expecting a number of people to cry "Judas!", "left us in the ****!", etc. Fair play to you lot.

By the way, I think Di Matteo is a good shout for Everton!

Don't know where you got the idea that anyone has any sort of bond with Man Utd. Maybe it's Neville?, or Rooney?, or all the Crocks and rejects we keep signing off them?

FFS, maybe you're right.

It's probably more down to Ferguson and Moyes more than Man U/ Everton, hopefully that'll stop now and we'll really smash them all over the place in their own back yard, win/lose or draw, leave bodies and mayhem lying all over the pitch and moyes bulging at the eyes and frothing at the mouth. -No offense Davey until July 1st ;)

Don't worry, give it 5 mins and you'll hate Moyes, you're a leeds fan. I thought Rodgers was alright at swansea until it became apparent he's not, one or two ill tempered rants at the referee, a few dodgey decisions etc and trust me, you'll hate him!

If one of our star players had refused to sign a new contract and signed for Man United on a free after lying to everyone for months, we'd be fuming. We've been badly fked over by this situation.

Yes but the main point of that would be a fellaini or Baines doing it would cost 10-20-30M to us. They would also have an option to sell as it was approaching...it's completely different!

I'm a big moyes fan and I honestly don't know if or for how long he's known about it. You'd think he must have, but maybe he didn't, his interview really did seem genuine, and i'd be amazed if he didn't mention it to BK. who knows its a bizzare situation really, a once in a lifetime thing getting offered that job...

He's gone tho, agreed to join them next season. The outcome is the same, we move on for next season. Does it really matter if moyes new he was joking utd come season end back in aug, jan, march, couple of weeks ago or 2 days ago!?

Few days on, I've had the chance to look at some nostalgic photos of Moyes' here at Everton. Simply go to getty images and type in David Moyes, start with the oldest photos, and work your way to the present. It hit me like a ton of bricks today. I'm really gonna miss him and I really hope, whoever replaces him, is able to keep the Everton way which Moyes has instilled going.

Everybody was confused when we signed Oviedo. "We have Baines, Distin and Garbutt? Why a third LB?"

Well this is why. Would anybody here take Lescott back?

Distin is a CB. Garbutt is a kid and is not good enough to start.

It seems that Moyes is going to help Kenwright find his successor, what's all that about ffs
Just don't get it

I agree a conflict of interest definitely as he is in the Man U job now not in 6 weeks time -if Walter Smith helped us after being sacked & having no new position then that was not the same as advising us on DM at Preston -DM should have been given Gardening leave for the last 2 games -BK is a complete joke of a businessman do I believe the DM interview yesterday where he saying he was unaware of M united interest - No I do not!

It leaves a bad taste that the richest cub in the world is taking our manager for precisely sweet fa.
If Moyes comes back in for backroom staff still under contract I hope we tell them to **** off.

So he shouldve signed a 5 year deal, then left?

Imagine the fume. It'd be a million times worse

Moyes will pick one of his mates, most likely another dour scot. We need change, might be a gamble but its worth the risk.
