CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

No problem with Moyes seeing out the last 2 games. Can see both sides and to be honest it would be easier for him to just leave now. He's got all eyes on him now and nothing to gain by staying. Folk'll be pouncing on any lacklustre performances from us. He obviously wants to fulfill his obligations to the club and win the next two games.

He's had a big job at a big club that has really looked at him as a leader and gave him respect and control, he will of course be leaving disappointed, but as I have said you don't turn down an opportunity to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, surely the best job in world football.

i cant wait for Sunday, i hope all the fans give him a good applause, there were bad times..but he has changed this club around for the better, and im shure he will do all he can to get 6 points from the last two games

You could just tell by that press conference that he was bull****ting us all along. He has known about this job for months. I know one member of the backroom staff was asked to join him late last week.

Thanks moyes but you can get to f.ck now in my opinion. I'm glad I've got to work on Sunday as I don't want no part In Kissing his arse

I honestly don't know how he could've done it another way.

Wait 2 weeks? Go in the summer? We'd still fume at the fact he'd a) got without saying goodbye b) left us too late to plan for next season c) left us with no compo

There's people on here who were going to react in this way no matter what he did. Luckily they'll be in the minority come Sunday.

And will you be there on Sunday? It's just that all the Blues I've spoken to in the real world are disgusted by all this.

First post!

I agree with some comments on here and another thread started by Sharpy.

Way back in @98 Ferguson tried to get Moyes. Strange is it not that Moyes put off discussing hid new contract from way before Xmas and even later suggesting it could wait until the end of the season. Seems to coincidental to me that his contract was due to expire in a few weeks and suddenly Ferguson announces he is chucking the towel in. If Moyes had actually penned a new contract there would have been compo due. Add to that Manure announced virtually that Moyes was the name to take over before even letting Everton know and then retrospectively removing comments on websites. To me it stinks and both manure and Moyes have been disingenuous to our club.

Having said I wish him good luck, but hands off our key players.

Tomorrow, he has turned his back on us, suggest the supporters turn their backs on him.

A bit of polite applause maybe and then Drown out any soppy Moyes stuff with Everton chants, Sundays not about him FFS its Everton vs West Ham

Dignity and class to the end.....Utd are getting a good man. I hope whoever comes in has integrity and 'gets' Everton like Moyes has done.
Read something on here or Twitter yesterday which was bang on the numbers for me....." if Gary Speed had still been with us he would be the perfect choice".
There are so many I don't want - Benitez, Hughes, Coyle, Allardyce, O'Neill....but not sure who I do want. Don't know enough about some being mentioned like Pereira, Tuchel etc, and don't have a major issue with Lennon, purely because we'd go to places like Old Trafford, Anfield and Chelsea with a "let's f@cking have these, they're ****e" attitude with him....we certainly wouldn't roll over and be tickled.....but I'm not sure he has the dignity and class this club thrives on.
Martinez and Laudrup, or even Lambert would be interesting. David Weir or Stuart McCall maybe.....or Duncan. Phil Neville....really, really not sure - can't knock his professionalism but his sound bites would be cringeworthy.

Interesting times ahead.

I'll tell you what mate, I don't want Lennon, but I think what you've said there is kinda spot on. Imagine going into big games with a swagger and a 'let's do these' attitude instead of parking the bus and hoping for a nil-nil

I'll be sad to see motes go, but I'm also really exited by the thoughts of new ideas etc. my wife's a big manc and she's a lot more unhappy about Moyer going there than I am he's leaving. I'll applaud him. I'll sing this name once or twice.ill be more saddened to see the end of Neville's time here model pro and with him moyes arrests and Cahill all gone it rely will be a different club next year. For better or worse, we needed something new, seeing clips of moyes in the earlier years so passionate, so full of the club, picking people who were in form as opposed to his favourite 11. If you we're in form you were in the tem. If you did a good job in the resides you could get a chance we had a squad of players who knew if they worked they could be Everton 1st team players.

Now you look at the squad. There are 3 old centre backs, hibbos knee might be gone so no right back cover. No left back cover (apparently Oviedo is an Everton player, but I wouldn't know as he doesn't play ever!!) ossie and pie pienaar are not getting younger. Gibson injury prone. A strike force that int exactly top 4.... And no squad players even getting anywhere near first team. Either they aren't good enough, in which case why did moyes buy them (Oviedo, billy, etc) or he hasn't thought long term and tried to bring players through. Either way I look forward to that changing under a new boss. Hopefully everyone will step up and want to prove themselves and 1st team regulars will have to perform or be dropped. Like in the early moyes years. Don't perform and you don't play.

I am now a sad panda. In the States, we don't normally see these, and this is really pulling at the heartstrings for me. I've been an Everton fan for 4 years, and have only known David Moyes. I know that we have a history and a purpose and a great squad, but I can't shake the feeling that he's responsible for so much that without him, we'll be a boat without a rudder.

Thank you David, you're a class act to the end, and I owe you a debt of a gratitude for making my Saturday and Sunday mornings worth putting the kit on for.

it hasn't been nice not winning at those places for so long, but at the end of the day, those are 3 games a season, it's the others that matter more

i have to say, given where we are financially, i would be more than happy to finish midtable-ish if it meant 2+ cups in the next decade. obviously it would be nice if one of those were the Europa League but.... i really cant see us improving our league position with no moyes
