CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Moyes has done great things in 11 years, restoring what Walker,Royle and Smith ruined. I know we won FA cup under Royle, but we were awful back then

There was nothing wrong with joe royle and the majority of our problems where pre smith. Was you around in the 90's?

I wish him all the best personally.....he's deserved a crack at Utd. If it were not for the tight purse-strings here I beleive he would have had us in a top four berth. A thin squad and lack of fresh faces invaraibly in January when most needed, and the departure of a 'name' too late to get a replacement are ultimately what stopped us being much closer to bullseye under Moyes.....yes, like every other manager he had his faults, but the transformation of the Club's fortunes in his tenure compared to the previous 3 or 4 managers was unquestionably very good. From perennial relegation fodder to perennial 'nearly-top-4-ers' in such a massively competitive league with all and sundry investing ****loads of cash is no mean feat.....and its whats got him the biggest job in football.

I'm pro-Moyes but not too upset that we are going to see change.....however, I have to admit to being very fearful of who might check-in to replace him. Our Board are so hopeless in all manner and sense of business dealings whether it be commercial revenue streams, strategic planning, potential divestment, ground-related projects etc how can we expect them to pick the right replacement?

This can go either way. This appointment is the most crucial point since we assigned Moyes.
IF we can get a manager in who can build on what Moyes has done and also get our players to perform in important matches this change will be for the good. But it could also go the other way with getting in a manager who makes us go back to where we were before Moyes took over. I am nervous. Very nervous.

like him or not its a true fairy tale ending of a poor scot on the edges of Glaswegian society, getting a job in the Preston cotton works before a big move to the great Liverpool docks where he shown how good he was with his hands, then the rich owner of a Manchester textile factory announced his standing down with the young rough round the edges scot from the 2 bedroom council flat getting a shiny new suit and top hat

You've every right to be. We're a wrong decision away from making a disastrous mistake.

...and a shiny red nose.

I just watched his press conference there...

I wasn't bothered with the idea of him going. But now it's happened... I can be honest, I'm a little emotional over it.

Its like a break up. You hated things about it and you know you got to end it... But it's still gonna hurt.

That press conference today: how smalltime did it make Everton look? Cringeing watching it.

Another club's manager in our facilities smiling and exchanging jokes prior to his coronation. Now he goes away to masquerade as our manager and pick the team for the next two games.

It's spectacularly wrong.

Don't get how the ones in love with Moyes can't see the point you're making.

What i think we should do is throw Martinez, Lennon, Pellegrini, Dunc, Periera, Laudrup in a ring and do last man standing. This should be live in Goodison, my bets on Dunc.

I agree completely.
