That press conference today: how smalltime did it make Everton look? Cringeing watching it.

Another club's manager in our facilities smiling and exchanging jokes prior to his coronation. Now he goes away to masquerade as our manager and pick the team for the next two games.

It's spectacularly wrong.

To be fair he isn't Manchester United's manager until July the 1st.

He's contracted to us, so is actually Everton's manager.

I guess after the final game he'll be allowed to say his goodbyes and be relieved of any obligations he might have had for the club.

I didn't like the laughing and joking parts, but he was quite respectful apart from that, imo.

PS hope we get United at home again first game of the season.

Even though he's planned our pre season.

Yeah, clearly doesn't give a **** now.

Exactly. He was upset in parts too.

What do people want? Tears? A Duncan Ferguson t-shirt and a club crest tattoo.

Christ, it's as though he walked in wearing Uniteds training gear and found the wrong press room according to some

Don't get how the ones in love with Moyes can't see the point you're making.

He's agreed to become there manager next season. He's still our manager currently for 6 more weeks.

Like gotze (is it) from Dortmund has agreed to leave at the end of his contract to join Bayern, who there playing against in a CL final non the less!

I don't see the mass histeria, I really don't. He's finishing the job he was committed and contracted to do. And he shouldn't because he's said he won't be doing the job again next year?

People see things different I suppose, but I'm certainly not gonna lose any sleep over him finishing the last 2 games.

i dont think that's a luxury he should have. It might sound a bit begrudging, but it's alien to have someone who's basically said 'I'm off to better myself' still in the dugout. It might be ok on the continent but it's got on my nerves. A player maybe, not a manager. TBH, up until seeing that interview I'd been pretty neutral about it. Now it just looks weird and a bit of a pisstake.

That type of business logic has no part in football. He's gone for another club and that's his future. Fair enough. But dont hang around.

Spot on.

We sound like a right bunch of spoilt carts.

He worked for Everton, he worked well considering the restraints he was under. He wanted more money before committing further to the club. The offer of another job at the biggest club in the world came in and he took it.

He now intends to see out his contract and leave.

What the f*** is the problem?

I honestly don't know how he could've done it another way.

Wait 2 weeks? Go in the summer? We'd still fume at the fact he'd a) got without saying goodbye b) left us too late to plan for next season c) left us with no compo

......he's been offered one of the biggest sports franchises in the world but you can tell that he's got really mixed emotions. Delighted at joining but disappointed at leaving. Its an odd situation but I suppose he's doing the right thing 'standing in his normal spot' for the last few games. I hope he gets a really good reception and a win for his last game in charge at the Old Lady.

I'm afraid he will get sh1t from all corners of the ground. Will really make us look bitter and ungratefull if he does.

who thinks Moyes will be back one day?

Maybe, he wont tho if the fans boo him and ruin our relationship with him. Back to will he be back, it all depends on where we are, if we're struggling and he out of work then maybe, but hopefully our new manager will be the right one.

I admire some posters thinking that all the noise that comes from Everton is true. Without doubt there were a lot of lies spoken by the Manchester United manager in that press conference.
