I'm not sure I completely believe the account and for me the timing smacks of moyes trying to recover his position after Wigan and some heavy criticism but like others I've asked "if that's the case why doesn't he let it be known ?" and in fairness he has now . This does mean however it's at odds with his previous kenwright stance and I wouldn't expect to say any other "the chairman has been brilliant" quotes.

If that's his stance then credit to him for saying it

He's going to come back with his tail between his legs and roll over for our board when he finally realises that holding them to ransom over his deal isn't going to work and he's got nowhere else to go.

Sheeds those quotes above were from Feb

Edit - hang on sorry Stubbs quotes are this week.

Maybe he didn't want to turn the attention on Kenwright but he's had so much stick over the past week with people saying he thinks he's bigger than the club, he's a hypocrite etc that he's finally leaking the true reason. Now the attention will be on the board again and we can take it that if he still doesnt sign then we are obviously not spending much of the SKY and Fellaini money.

Diverting the attention to Kenwright so the fans can move on from being p*ssed with Moyes and lay into "Sign him up" Kenwright.. smart move!

But NONE of this has come from Moyes himself.. all this is just to divert the attention! Still beleive he doesnt know if he wants to be here next season and the lack of money is one of many factors, not the only one.

I don't think you understand the Moyes/Kenwright relationship. He has them over a barrel. They need him more than he needs them.

What do you think is going to happen in the summer? Do you honestly believe our inept board are going to magic up a big war chest to convince him to stay? He asked for assurances in January to help us push on for a top four finish and we come out of that window with a reserve rightback.
