CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

I can honestly say personally I've changed my perspective a little after Wigan & the general contract issue although I'll be honest enough to say I've never be as enamoured with him as others but that doesn't take from my overall opinion that he's done well . I do honestly think (I'm probably completely wrong again mind ) that age can have an effect as a lot of older fans who've been lucky enough to see this club at the top are perhaps a little more 'demanding ' . Like I say I could be wrong though .
That's true although I think it all comes around in circles too -- if you're in your early 20's you only remember Moyes and being in the Euro mix. You were alive for the relegation struggles in the 90's (and the Cup!) but not old enough for it to really sink in. So for the younger lads they only know Everton as an "almost there" club and wish we'd kick on and do better (without having the perspective of living through a generally lousy [Cup aside] period of being an Everton fan). (Then you could make the same argument on the other side of not having the perspective of the great sides from earlier decades.)

However just like winning the league in our history doesn't mean we're going to win the league next year; just because we almost got relegated doesn't mean that will happen next year either. I love, respect and wish to preserve the memory of our fantastic history greatly ... but sometimes I do wonder if we'd probably all (on both sides) be better off if we just remembered it but didn't expect it to have any bearing (either way) on what happens in the future.

Are you going to actually explain how i'm wrong or are you just going to post stupid s**t like that ?

The ball itself will be the same shape and size no matter what football club is mentally attached to it.

I don't believe the two incidents (what team's are in the hat and what ball gets picked) are in anyway linked so I don't see how a different result in one will mean a different result in the other.

Chaos theory is all about changes being magnified within a system not how one unrelated system effects another.

The differences would have been huge.

If we had won the game then all the conversations, reporting, discussions etc afterwards would have been completely different. The people doing the draw would have had different conversations (by simple virtue of the fact that the competitors left would be different). The only way you could possibly hope to achieve the same result would have been locking Davids and whoever else did the draw in a room all weekend with no prior knowledge of the matches.

Even a single footstep changed by the person who dropped the balls into the bag would have altered the draw which followed.
