I am sick to the back teeth if this line of spin. No matter how you want to deliver you're point he hasn't delivered anything, NADA. Its not as if he hasn't had a chance is it ? He has had plenty of chances and he has chocked in a major way.

Its precisely this type of attitude that has facilitated his own particular "held back" line of spin and excuse from day one. Either achieve at all costs or get out the way for someone who will

I'm not "spinning" anything. Does the league not count for anything? You'll forgive me if I don't really get that line of reasoning. Laughing at how pointing out our efforts in the league is thought of as using "spin" and "delivering" my point in some kind of twisted version of the truth to the end of indoctrinating you all and keeping Moyes in a job via an internet forum.

OK, out of curiousness, what do YOU expect Moyes and Everton to achieve in the current climate of football or what do you honestly think they should be achieving as a minimum?

Lets start with three serious F.A Cup chances from the immediate past. Chelsea I can forgive, Liverpool last year and Wigan this I cannot as both typify Moyes and his negative stifling mind set when it comes to the crunch.

I would expect given this team that we are in serious contention for a cup each and every year and a minimum qualification for Europe most probably through the Europa league.

The team is good enough, all it needs is for the correct winning mentality to be added. No use having a Ferrari if you haven't got the choke out

You really are living in a dreamland. Do you know how much the teams around us have spent season after season?

And we have no squad depth how can we complete?

I am not dreaming, its brutal realism mate nothing more nothing less. Moyes and his operation "lower expectations" team have done a great job haven't they, made his life infinitely better and more comfortable than when he first took over. I remember him saying we should be challenging for the league. He sings a different tune these days though after 11 trophy free years on the back of massive wage increases. Wake up please

A minimum European qualification?

Forgetting Man U, Citeh and Chelsea, you don't think at all that Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool should think as a minimum they should be finishing above us?

I would love Everton to win a cup, it's our only chance of success. However, I am realistic enough to realise that cup competitions are also a lottery and you need things to go right for you on the day, hence Bradford getting to a final this year.

I can honestly say I do not under any circumstances feel that Moyes is under achieving. We are 4 points off a CL place against teams with far superior budgets.

Some on here completely missing the point.

Our peer group is Arsenal, Spurs and the RS.

Spurs and the RS have switched managers loads of times and spunked a load of cash on duds.

Arsenal have kept with Wenger in all that time and spent less per season than Moyes. Wenger has delivered more success than Moyes. Yes they spend more in wages but Wenger has delivered much more than the ginger one.

The contract stand-off at the moment is an insult to our great club. Moyes controls the club from top to bottom. He's bought and developed every single player so to come out with a line "I want to see how we finish" is completely mad.

By definition sticking with a manager for a long period instantly takes away the need for massive net spend. The focus on this from the media and some on here is ludicrous. Add in the golden bonus money from Rooney and Lescott etc and all of a sudden he's not such a miracle worker.

Remember too in their time - splashing out on the likes of Johnson, Beattie and the Yak to name but a few were all big money, big wages for Premiership proven strikers.

Moyes has done a very good job for the club but don't make out he's the be all and end all.

I am just being realistic here. You just can't assume someone out there will do better than Moyes with no resources. This is modern football and if you have no cash you won't achieve great things. I don't want another Walter Smith or Howard Kendell MKIII to manage this club. Changes is not always a good thing.

And no you should wake up not me. How on earth you say we should quality for Euro every season? We have £20m to spend like RS and Spurs every season?

lol, the level of expectation when he joined involved avoiding relegation, as barring a great year under Royle, we'd been largely crap for a decade.

Moyes has since raised the bar to where people like you see Europe & a Cup as 'minimum requirement', it's as if the 90's never happened & you're viewing the title winning years as being recent...........truly unbelievable.

Change is part of life mate, part of evolution. Those who do not change and evolve simply wither and die. We are like a business that is in very real danger of stagnation, someone needs to order a large dose of innovation to galvanise a brighter dawn.

No our peer group is not Arsenal, Spurs and RS. Spurs and RS outspend us by about £20m every season.

You use Wenger to compare with Moyes. Well Wenger is a great one no doubt about that but tell me who had done better than Moyes apart from Wenger with the resources Everton have?

I was lucky enough to see Everton parade the Championship round Goodison, feel the reverberation of noise as the crowd chanted champions and lifted the roof high enough that the sound probably rocked that sh*thole on the other side of the park.

I have like many others also witnessed the frightening 90s up close and personal. It was awful, something I hope I die having never witnessed ever again.

Success is like crack, one hit and you're hooked. If only Moyes was an addict

Okay but I don't see someone coming in and we suddenly quality for Euro every season. At the end of the day we have no cash. We might even join the peer group of West Ham and Norwich to fight for the 13th spot trophy next season, after Moyes gone.
