DAVID MOYES would shy away from comparisons between himself and Jose Mourinho, but the similarities are too striking to avoid.

Everton stand shoulder to shoulder with Real Madrid as the only sides to have beaten both Manchester clubs in competitive fixtures this season.

Moyes and Mourinho have perfected the art of making Roberto Mancini look like any other ordinary coach and both appear singularly under-appreciated by some supporters.

Quote of the Year

Whether he stays or goes I want it resolved quickly, if we're due to get a windfall and have money to spend which we know we will, especially if Fellaini goes, we could be talking 5 or 6 new players. Something I would trust Moyes with the world with.

Also, no media outlet seems able to fathom the possibility that we were all delighted with Moyes, but some people think he's taken us as far as he can. Whatever I read seems to be 'all the fans are turning on him do they not see what he's done over 11 years?' Getting a bit annoying.

exactly, so is he thinking him being a 'free agent' would make him more attractive to big clubs?? it makes no sense...maybe he wants a break from football...

Said it before I think the whole year out thing is a complete myth , guardiola has done it but who else ? Lets face it their cvs arent exactly comparable .

Moyes may have to take some time out simply as he's burnt his bridges and their are no decent offers on the table , rather than taking a year out it looks like he may actually be 'resting'

I see him looking for offers this summer, Kenwright allowing him to take the best part of that summer to look, Moyes not getting a sniff of a bigger job because 'bigger clubs' know he's a bottler, and Moyes eventually signing up again in late July/early August.
