CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

SSN reporting a newspaper(like they do) claiming Moyes will 'take time out' at the end of the season just like Guardiola. Well he can afford to, the money he's earned.

I think he'd be mad to do that to be honest , although it might be his only option . Being out the game and not leaving on a high isn't the best plan in my opinion but if a new manager came in and started well every point he earned could damage moyes . Miss out on a season and your star is well and truly in decline .

I agree. There really aren't that many jobs for football managers(!)...and certainly not as good as the one he's already got. If theres anything in this story, its seems like a bit of a cop out, or Moyes basically not knowing what to do.

If he had any sense he'd stay at Everton. His own personality will trip him up elsewhere. Only Ferguson and Wenger enjoy similar levels of control at their clubs.

I think he's trying to get his timing right for the united job maybe Fergie has tipped him off.

I keep reading this and it could happen but personally I find it fanciful to be honest , a manager who has never win a trophy , has never managed a single game at champions league level nor even played and no connection with united to sweeten the deal . I'd be staggered

I agree with you but I don't think DM does.

I read that he's bought a second hand car dealership with Curbishley and is looking to spend more time running his new business

Whether you rate Moyes or not I find the constant bleating about him earning £60k a week bizarre.

He is our most important employee and people are up in arms he earns about half what Chris Samba gets for QPR or a sixth of what Van Persie gets paid.

So you think the Everton manager realistically should be in the top 12 best paid managers in world football do you ?

im not buying that.

.. But if thats true im sure he starts to learn german language while chilling

Just been an interesting piece on this on hold the back page. They mentioned he needs a new challenge and to push on. Im not sure how many better jobs there will be available than the one he is in.

To be honest I think managers should probably be the top earners at any club. Only truly exceptional players should earn more than their managers in my opinion.

I've no problem with your opinion there..but should David Moyes be amongst the top 12 best paid managers in world football. I read somewhere that he was. Around about £3 million a year, basic, with presumably a bonus if he did ever break the mould and win a trophy?

If I ever saw any facts that backed up that oft repeated claims then I'd still say yes.

Why not? It is a fraction of what some average Premier league players get paid.
