Yes, I think that is what we all know and that is why there is so much doom and gloom about this and other Everton boards.

Bill has loaded the gun and given it to Moyes to point at his head.

You coulden't make it up.

They have been both thick as thieves since day one so making out Bill has been duped is doing you no favours.

Ffs like, is that ANY time during the summer? :o

No idea but June would be the best time to make an announcement.

Bill must be so confident in his own preservation but he has been found himself behind the curve this week and will do again.

Doing me "no favours"?

I never made out Bill was "duped" nor that they have ever been anything but "thick as thieves".

You, in the other hand, are doing yourself "no favours" as it appears that your comprehension skills are a bit lacking.

As I recall, the last time we were treated to this bollox, five years ago, the contract wasn't signed until about September or October.

So presumably that is when this current contract expires and a new one must be signed.

It is scandalous that Bill is facillitating this chancer in such a craven manner.

Hope you're wrong mate, it wouldn't be a good way to start the season and attract new players.

Moyes on the rection to the Wigan defeat: “The image of this club being in crisis is completely wrong. If you are an Everton supporter then what you saw last Saturday, you simply haven’t seen very often all season, or in fact for several years."

That's a man willfully missing the point. It wasn't the manner of defeat that was the issue, it was the timing of the moment to go down to defeat like that - he cant inspire them in massive moments and transfers all his inhibitions onto the team.

It's disappointing that he chooses to point the finger everywhere but the place it should be pointed for these defeats. Surely he must know by know that he's the common denominator of all of them?

'The Blues boss was quick to dismiss the notion he has taken the club as far as he can.
“It is insulting to Everton to say the club has gone as far as they can go, because this is a club where we always have to find ways of moving forward,” he insisted. “I don’t think the result last week was anything to do with tactics or motivation or anything else. If people are talking about a lack of ambition from me or the players then I’ll really love to know what their definition of ambition is, because all year I’ve tried to bang the drum to finish fourth and win a cup.

“I am driven to succeed and so are the players so I will need them to explain to me what they mean. If people are saying there is a lack of ambition in the team, we have got Kevin Mirallas, Jelavic, Fellaini.....Look, people are entitled to their opinions. We have had a bad day but if you have that opinion, I think you have got to balance it out with the six or seven months that have gone before where we have played really well.”

No, 'people' are not talking about lack of ambition they're talking about lack of leadership in big games...your leadership.

He knows all this but continues to deflect away.

After reading his recent comments I'm in no doubt he'll still be here next season. How anyone thinks this feller is moving on I dont know. I cant see it reading his words. His decision to delay looks like an ego trip more than anything else.

Up until last week I thought if he didn't get offered a 'big job' (which I didn't think would happen ) he'd stay but the sea change in supporter feeling and his epic misjudgement (in my opinion ) of his own 'importance ' means I'm no longer sure. How do you turn back time , if he stays and we have our usual start he will really be under pressure.

I know moyes is far from stupid and I know he was advised against his current strategy but if you were advising him then staying will I believe be tough , I honestly think he's painted himself into a corner now and he's struggling to come out of it well whatever happens

The thing that strikes me about his words is that they're very ambiguous: he says he'll decide on the basis of a) how the season ends and b ) how the players feel. So he's got elasticity in those remarks to declare either way. I detect a bit of realisation he's ****ed up and he's currently edging his way back down the gang-plank to the ship again.

Everton are his security blanket. I dont think he'll run too quickly away from it because I reckon he fears he'll be found out elsewhere under different set ups.

The man clearly isn't thinking straight and when the actual reason is painfully obvious to everyone around him then its a problem. The players do not need telling this as they are channel through which his negativity surfaces.

Some people seem to think he isn't going anywhere but I beg to differ. He already has one foot out the door and I will not be sorry if the other one follows suit

If I was a player I'd feel hung out to dry, tbh.

It just reminds me of a nuthouse at the moment, nobody wants to point the finger or note the elephant in the room, we just lost at home to Wigan ( no disrespect! Totally deserved) but there is a man who can't even acknowledge the fact his only chance of a ounce of success has gone, again.

It's a managers responsibly to do just that, take responsibility.

He is doing this " slopey shoulders" thing again.
