CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Sorry but we wont get anyone as good as Moyes on the budget we spend, so we would have to take a gamble on a new manager which could easily backfire. We will be linked with the likes of Coyle, Mark Hughes and Tony pulis who would all take the job. I would take a gamble on a lower league manager but no way will we be lucky twice, once Moyes goes we will end up with around 4 managers over the next 10 years.

We're not debating whether they'll end up doing a decent job or not, or how many we may go through, or whether their record will hold a candle to Moyes.

We're simply discussing whether there'll be a number of quality managers in the game, who'll consider taking the vacant post should Moyes walk this summer. I'm saying that with a similar wage packet on the table as Moyes currently enjoys, there'd be plenty out there who'd be interested.

i'd like lambert - there i said it. just think he's at villa at the wrong time. no idea what he's doing playing so many youngsters, and if it's a case of he can't control big ego's then he isn't the man for us, but i think he's a great coach. he's a winner

'kin 'ell, have you seen Villa this season?

He's that far out his depth he should do his post match interviews wearing a snorkel.

Big Four?

Do you work for Sky mate?

We have beat City loads.

Yeah, but City have only been "big" for a couple of years because they have spent some money. Traditionally it's Manu, Chelsea, Arsenal and probably Spurs/Liverpool. Now City are in there but that doesn't make them a great club. When Sheik whatever his name is gets bored and pulls the plug they'll be back to being nothing. You can buy a title but not class and a long future....just look at Blackburn.

Im still waiting for Roman to get bored.

If David Moyes chooses to leave this summer, the Everton job will be coveted by some of the best managers in world football...why ?

1. The pay would be a reported 65k per week ,this is in the scale that would attract top managers.
2. The talent at Everton. Any manager would be interested in working with Baines,Gibson,Jagielka,Jelavic,Mirallas,Osman,Pienaar, Fellaini and the others. Even if some of these players leave the club generally allows the manager to reinvest the sales proceeds back into players.
3.This will not be appreciated by some on here, but is a fact nonetheless. Bill Kenwright is seen as a chairman that a manager can work with and get support from.We are in fact the anti-Chelsea. Managers will know they will be allowed to get on with their job,be given time if things get difficult and support where possible.
4. We have top class facilities and a reputation of developing home grown talent.
5.We have a fanbase that understands football and generally understands and supports their manager when it is merited.

Some good points but I am not sure about number 4 anymore. An ageing stadium, a rented training ground and a few youngsters out on loan as Moyes won't play even the ones that are thought to be the most promising.

In 11 years;

- 0 Wins in 48 away games against the "big four"

- 0 Trophies Won

Lets not even discuss his derby record.

Not good enough

Spot on its called a negative 4-5-1 manager. Going for the draw or scrapeing a win. Or getting hammered.

If you want to win at these places you need to attack.
