CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

It'll take Ronald Mcdonald as a manager and a implosion financially for us to get relegated
And we are so far away from that?
I'm not the person who thinks the club will collapse without Moyes, but i dont think we would achieve much more with any alternative. Any apointment would be a real gamble and these sort of things dont tend to work out twice in a row all that often.

I was really aiming that at those who've been calling Moyes record "not won a pot, never won at Klanfield" & wanting a change of manager, rather than those who just think if he goes he goes.
do you mean those who spend every penny they get on everton and roar them on during the 90 mins of play , and then air there views on moyes when the games finished ,as i do every week ,

This might sound ridiculous but what about Joe Royle coming back? I've only been an Everton fan for 10/11 years since I was 8 so I remember nothing about him at all (other than our '95 FA cup win.)

Martinez would be my first choice, some may swerve at it, thinking that he couldn't cut it with a better squad/more money etc.
Always come across as a really nice chap, and if Moyes did leave he should be at the top of our list along with Bilic.

No, I meant what I said, those who've been calling for Moyes to leave, would they genuinely prefer Martinez? Simple question.

The fact that you go home & away is irrelevant, as some of those with the same opinion as you, don't even live on the same continent as Goodison.

I think he's going. :(

Actions speak louder than words and I don't see any reason why he wouldn't have signed a contract by now if he intended to.

I vaguely remember him saying in an article (think the echo?) ages ago that he thought his time was done and it was up to other managers to carry on the legacy of Everton (Please correct me if I am wrong...wouldn't mind seeing him back TBH).

Never been the biggest fan of Martinez......For me what we need more than anything is charisma and a personality in a new manager. That is what the greatest managers of all time across a variety of sports all have in common. Professional Footballers, by and large, all have the physical talent, so it is down the manager to get a possitive mentallity going of "us against the world" (One reason why mourinho and clough were so good)....Granted, what is also a high priority in our financial position, is astuteness in the transfer market and Youth academy management.....Two realistic names (perhaps laughable) I would like to see are maybe Adkins and Warnock.....They have the personality/charisma and have worked under tight financial constraints in the past.....

Unless Moyes is willing to sign a contract now he should be sacked. He should not be allowed to hold the club to ransom.

I'd honestly love to see Duncan handed a caretaker role with little Steve Round staying on as his number two (though I doubt he would).

What's there to lose? We need a major upturn in fortune to get into the top 4 and in all likelihood we'll have a big match or two at Wembley as make or break for the season. Moyes has consistently showed he makes a hash of the big occasion so I don't see we're really running a risk of anything bad.

i just wish he'd cheer up, always comes across as so hard done by in interviews, YOUR MANAGING EVERTON FFS NOT WORKING IN MCDONALDS!

And look at the way there clubs have ended up . We need manager who takes it to the next level . I believe martinez or laudrap could do this because of the style they play . How many times this season have we lost or drawn games because we havent shut the game out . We have all the fundermentals to make a great team from the players to the coaches we just need that extra push that other managers can give . Moyes is a great manager however we are at the stage now where we have found the bargain great players and have a team capable of challaging but miss that final push . Martinez last season went all guns blazing away at the emirates and got a result moyes wouldnt do that . Maybe we should look at the german league for managers . Its a good league
