the prem is piss poor and has been for years ,teams like stoke dont flirt with relagation even under tony fuken pullis

They pay the same as us in wages and have spent hugely on players.

If a new manager did as well as an average Premier league manager we'd be about 12th in the league.

Finishing 12th would mean we'd then have to cut about £6m off the wage bill, so that is 2 of our best players going and not being replaced.

Any new manager, under our current owners, cannot fail or we are beyond screwed in the long term.

Tony Pulis has spent £70m since they got promoted.

Moyes has had about £16m in 11 years. Don't think it's hard to imagine Everton getting relegated under a different manager with that kind of spending.
dalglish spent a 100 mill what the fuk does that mean , laudrup has spent nothing and will win a cup this week in his 1st 6 months in charge, moyes has had the players to have brought us success , but a combination of tactics and bottling it in the big games has stoped us , thanks for everything davy time to move on

Swansea bought £30m worth of players in the last two seasons mate.

I'm not disagreeing with the trophy thing anyway, but i think people are a bit dismissive of how easily we could have been facing relegation had Moyes not come in. Andy Gray ffs.

I think he will go at the end of the season, which means we wont get no compo for him.

we missed out on Champions League when we drew 3-3 with Villa at home, a side everyone was beating and beating well.

we can get to Wembley this season, Oldham then Wigan is easy compared to what we could of got.

would be nice to leave him see with a trophy tho.

Everton have spent £25m in that same timeframe by the same logic. Everton already had an established Premiership squad, Swansea had only just been promoted, so would have needed to use the additional income that brings to increase the quality of their squad.

The original post was right. Laudrup has made a profit of £10m in the tfr market this season and is doing pretty well with Swansea, whether they win a trophy or not.

And who knows how Andy Gray would have done as a manager? It was the previous chairman who was after him, he may have been great here, or not, but we'll never know. He was one of my favourite players as a kid though, his energy and determination was unreal.

That's it really. A lot of fans are just scared of going back to where we've been.

Moyes has put us in a good position, the club has its pride and draw power back, we've got a good youth academy, and we've got players worth a lot of money and a TV money boost.

It'll take Ronald Mcdonald as a manager and a implosion financially for us to get relegated
