CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

I agree his cautious approach has reared it's head at times, however there are times when the players have just simply not been good enough, such as last years semi final.

His positives still outweigh his negatives though IMO.

I find it hard to believe the players weren't good enough to beat a side we finished above comfortably and who were close to bottom of the form table. As soon as we scored we retreated like French infantry. It's hard to believe it weren't a deliberate ploy.

Wihout Distins back pass we win that game imo, as we'd ridden the predictable early 2nd half pressure. We'll never know.

There's no way to tell but I don't think we would. The donkey was getting chance after chance and only they looked like they wanted it. Even so it's a terrible tactic to sit on a 1 goal lead for over an hour IMO. I don't know why either as it's bit us on the arse loads of times before then.

So early in the game? I just think the players choked and Liverpool's confidence grew.

They had big game players who can turn it on, we didn't have that. That said, as the next post said Distin doesn't do that and would we have lost?

Why would we just 'stop' playing. We were getting on top and as soon as we scored we stopped. I think we had one or two attacks for the whole of the game after that with Jelavic isolated. They weren't good enough to do that to us.

Is it so hard to imagine another manager coming in after Moyes and getting more out of the current squad of players

It is indeed. I can handle that because i understand why and I am not even a Moyes fan but a lot of fans are going to be in turmoil when the penny drops. Bill knows this too so either we are going to see a compromise with Moyes on a short roll over contract or Bill will indeed have to dust down his exit plan within the term of the next new manager.

It'll really annoy me when Moyes leaves and talks about furthering his ambitions after years of endorsing Bill Kenwright's board. He wouldn't swap his chairman for any other in the world, apparently.

His parting message to the fans will probably end up being a plea to be nice to poor Bill.

That is my one and only problem with Moyes

I find it really hard to believe that when we went 1 up Moyes sent out instructions to the team to sit back, not so early in the game. For me the players bottled the big occasion and didn't perform how they could, even with a goal start.

I really don't get the big Moyes masshia thing....

Granted he done a fantastic job for us. Especially have to work with both hands tied by that cnut kenwrong.

But he'll never take us on. Look at his stats against top four away. Its scary.... It reads like played 38 lost most!!!

Against the ****e in the semi last season was the worst. We had them by the bollocks at half time. Look what happened. An he stood on the side with his finger ipad his arse.

I think a change would be good for all concerned. Once again this season our football has been awful except a few good games.....

And once again he's killed another striker. Jelavic is no added to a long list of forwards he's bought killed.... Yak, beattie,Johnson.....etc.....

Time to move on.

EVERTON is far bigger than Moyes.

NILSATIS NISIOPTIMUM

some people need to remember this sometimes.

Excellent post!

I especially agree with the bolded part. Our periods of good football have been few and far between this season, with us playing a brand of absolutely crap football for the most part. However some people seem to be convinced that it has been the other way around :/

So do I. I still can't get my head around it TBH. But we all saw it. Perhaps the players did just bottle it? I remember Moyes talking after the game and he said pretty much what you said. He was happy with how the game was going and without that mistake he thinks we'd have won.

That's why I think it was a part of the game plan.

I'm sure people think that every single second of football is dictated by the managers tactics. I've got no doubt whatsoever that Moyes was equally disapointed that we couldnt keep posession and started sitting too deep. We had nothing really on the bench of note, a manager cant do an awful lot when the action is underway in all honesty. It has to come from the players.

We were sitting back before half time. He had a chance to do something about it.

Mostly absolute crap, and yet we're 6th in the league. Hmmm.

What fecks me off, is the lack of ANY blame Moyes gets in the press, for us failing at certain points.

Fiorentina, Villareal, Bucchanrest, Lisbon, Benfica, Chelsea, Leeds, Semi last year.

Despite all these failure's, its deemed as The fault of the Clubs, be that be lack or funds or just us being too Small for Massive Moysie.

I have only heard us fans, and Adrian Durham point at his record, and question the lack of actual success.

Picture the scene next week, we lose to Oldham, and they press will ask him about his future, and he will talk about funds again. Then a week of phone ins and 'Experts' will be talking AGAIN about how he should be at a bigger club, tested in the CL.

Getting fecked off with this Moyes media love in.
