Computer games.

Disappointed with it overall - Interested with a couple of the indie games, especially Stray (Made by Annapurna who made What Remains of Edith Finch)

Most of the Triple A stuff doesn't really float my boat, Spiderman looks like DLC, Horizon Zero Dawn 2 will be more of the same but admittedly looks impressive

Was hoping for either FF7 part 2 or a new FF16 - even more outlandishly I was hoping for a new Fight Night game or a revisioning of the Guitar Hero franchise (not going to happen on either front I know)

Also seems weird that there was no mention about backwards compatibility - Surely they're not going to drop the ball again on this?!

They've already confirmed backwards compatibility.

Thought it was pretty good for a tedious launch really. Some decent looking games and a couple of genuine surprises (Demon Souls!)

Actually thought the Ratchet and Clank was one of the most impressive. It really showcased the speed at which they can load in new textures, switching worlds over and over like that looked absolutely amazing. The potential with the "new" tech is pretty wild if people harness it properly.

The digital version will be interested. Will they increase the SSD capacity for it? Will it be considerably cheaper?

Only briefly and not in any sort of detail

UPDATE: A quick update on backward compatibility – With all of the amazing games in PS4’s catalog, we’ve devoted significant efforts to enable our fans to play their favorites on PS5. We believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5.

Though you would need to buy the non-digital version of the console to play discs you already have.

ARK: Survival Evolved (+ some map expansions) and Samurai SHODOWN NEOGEO Collection are free on Epic Store (PC) untill the 18th.

The Last of Us 2 reviews are out. Currently sitting on 96 rating from 79 reviews. Cannot wait for next week!!

Metacritic makes me laugh. No matter how good the game is there will always be a bunch of virgins giving the game a 0/10 for some daft reasons.

Yeah it's so stupid. But I never pay attention to the user scores for that very reason. I just use the critics score as a vague guide to make sure I'm not buying a complete dud or going to see a terrible film.

You get fanboys who give things 10/10 without any criticality, and 0/10 ratings from virgins. Then you also have some people who feel the need to do 10/10 or 0/10 to combat the others who have done it. Then you also have the problem with review bombing.
Metacritic is really only useful for the actual critics' ratings imo.

I've seen a less than glowing review for the game from SkillUp about the story.

Kinda on the fence whether to get it or not.

Seems a bit mad to be thinking about buying new ps4 games with the ps5 on the way, but there are a couple of titles on the way that I'll struggle to resist.
