Computer games.

Thanks amigo! Pretty cool feature if all the devs participate. I expect the big AAAs to play ball except maybe rockstar. Need to cash in on remastered GTA V

That might swing me to stick with Xbox on the next gen as the PS5 hype is getting to me.

Not paying extra for next gen remasters is a big selling point and the fact they address Cyberpunk 2077 specifically is a bonus.

Agreed, the one thing I like about the ps5 is how they changed the controller. The old ones were a big reason why I never considered PS. I'm pretty happy with my xbox. I mainly only play multiplayer games with friends and the big releases so I'm not too arsed about exclusives either way. Not to mention a bunch of games are starting to have cross-platform matchmaking so can still play with friends no matter what system you have

GTA Online is going free to play - Xbox will get it 3 months after PS5 launch - so I don’t think rockstar will join in with the free upgrade

I was trying to rack my brain about EA games in the last gen switch but couldn’t remember if they did free upgrades so I think they won’t join in either

EA are offering similar but doing their own version across Xbox and PS. Main difference seems to be that if you buy a physical copy you can't upgrade to a digital version on the new consoles. Well that is different for Xbox at least, Playstation haven't announced if they will have an equivalent to Smart Delivery yet.

I haven't bought a physical disc in about three years so I'm glad

I've bought quite a few second hand games over the last few years and if buying new it's almost always cheaper to pick up the physical copy. Especially if you are buying a bit after launch. I would much rather have everything on digital though as it's just much easier.

I'll be buying the PS5 with a disc drive though as I like to have the flexibility and in the long run it will work out cheaper.

Weirdly enough, I checked to see if my one had a disc drive last week because I've never used it – not even on accident

I found an old disc when I was sorting my room out a few months back, wanted to see what was on it, realised I don't have a single thing that plays discs anymore.

I mean the boy has an Xbox, but I was scared it was porn or something so threw it in the bin.
